In my experience, getting bloodwork too close to a workout is a recipe for wacky results. Had crazy high CK and high co2 from a test 24 hours after a hard running session + leg day. Now will always schedule a rest day and easy morning prior to the lab visit

Loved the video - you inspire me to keep pushing in my training. Genuine question (not hating) why do you run shirtless? Do you not get cold? It was rainy and looked cold outside yet you still ran shirtless? Here in London it's like 41 f when I run and I'm out here in a fleece and long sleeve!!

Does working out before a blood test alter the results? I’ve had elevated results because of working out before a blood test fasted.

Would love to run this much but fear dropping too much weight. Is it really as simple as calories in vs calories out? I like seeing athletes like Jeremey who still maintain size considering all the running they do. Any suggestions? Thanks so much 🙏🏻

Can you talk about the relationship between on paces and off paces? Like is it worth it to run the faster paces 15-30 second faster per rep at a 30-60 second slower recovery or vice versa?
@benjamin.kelley
@benjamin.kelley 5 ай бұрын
On/off just means something like tempo speed (you could hold for 30 minutes) and easy pace (conversation pace). The goal isn't to go balls to the walls, it's more to help train your body to get faster by strategically adding in faster (but not too fast) chunks. Typically your off pace will dip to be way slow for the first minute, then jump back up as you recover, then you'll hit another ON rep, and the cycle continues.

This is my new favorite youtube channel as I am a lifter who recently started running! Jeremy I was trying to search for the answer to my question in your videos but I had no luck. I am a new runner preparing for a 10 K. I have always lifted and currently I am in a maintenance phase, not looking to bulk or cut. MY QUESTION IS: SHOULD I REPLACE MY CALORIES BURNT DURING MY RUNS IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN MY MUSCLE MASS/GAINS. Situation: I ran 3 miles in about 30 mins with a 10:06 / mile average pace burning 455 calories. Please help me thank you :)
@jeremy.miller
@jeremy.miller 5 ай бұрын
This is a good question and super subjective. If you’re simply wanting to maintain weight, then yes I’d eat to replace those burned calories. For me personally, I don’t track calories and just eat based on feel. If I’m hungry, I eat. If I’m not hungry, I don’t eat. Just depends on your personal goals

@@jeremy.miller Damn that's incredible that you've achieved the physique you have being a hybrid athlete and not tracking any macros. But thank you for your reply!!! This information helps a ton. Will continue to tune in to try and learn your ways. Maybe some day I can get on your level :)

Heads up, IV drips are on USADA/WADA's prohibitive list. I know you're not a professional runner but the Boston marathon, for example, falls under USADA so probably best not to promote.
