John was a dick, but I definitely got emotional seeing Constantine die and seeing Astra's emotions over it. I also loved seeing Spooner's FULL backstory and learning that she had a connection to the Fountain Of Imperium.

The ep was visually beautiful cgi was so good

The fountain itself doesn't protect the planet, the people it bestows it's power too does the protecting! Just so far no one's got the memo cos the fountain isn't exactly telling them what it's doing (Hence why Spooner can detect aliens, and also shoot funky ground lights apparently)

Although there's leaps of logic here, which is pretty much expected. The acting was really great

I think Bishop said "invasive alien species" maybe it was meant for some kind of species kinda like the zagurons, but it doesnt work with all, who knows lmao

When it talks about invasive species, it doesn't technically mean alien armies. I think it means like plants and such because even though we see Supergirl and the other aliens, we have never seen alien plants thrive on earth that could be more evolved and deadly.

I really liked this episode, it's s*k that John is dead and Astra can't go to hell and see him. But I'm happy that Matt agreed to come back next season as another character to join the Legends.

I'd like a spinoff for spooner. She's a good character and I'd like to see her life before legends with her alien based powers

I honestly think that Johns end (? )(We'll see what we get in the finale) makes a ton of sense. Yeah it HURT but it was beautifully sad I think. John has turned countless people around him into collateral damage so it's horribly poetic that the same thing would befall him. Him and Astra together she is like his pseudo daughter the girl that drove him to become who he is. The Swamp Thing like bit was legit too. I also am unsure honestly if he's fully gone or not. Bishop did say he was worthy of the fountain even as it and John were dying but can something as supposedly powerful as the fountain even fully die?. I know there will be some form of goodbye for John and Zari in the finale so I'll be curious to see if it's one he walks away from or if he fades away. To be clear I liked the emotional beats of Johns fate(?) His selfishness/rashness , etc all his more negative elements leading to his undoing. I get why people are feeling miffed about it being tied to a bigass shroom. That I totally get. I won't know fully how I feel tell after the finale. I'm hopeful for some suprises from or around John in the finale but We'll have to wait and see. I totally get it feeling way to anticlimatic plot wise for John though as of right now.

Hate that this season was again about Constantine, his end was really bad too. I hoped we had more Sara Lance focused season. They did something really big with her in the middle of the season and then they just forgot about it. This show can't even follow their own logic and story. Nothing really makes sense even in their fictional world, it is just frustrating to care and follow the plot, that obviously does not exist.

The fountain in this essentially the Green, from the DC universe, my guess is John might merge with it, and become it, like Oliver becoming the Spectre. This way, they can have the actor's voice, instead of having him in the flesh, blood, and trenchcoat, for future seasons.
