Sometimes couples end up with their own hybrid language, whether it's an English/ASL mix (for a CI or HA user), English/Spanish, etc.

You guys should take the MBTI sometime. Im vibin a little with some jungian typological behavior patterns you guys exhibit that are very complimentary. Jon def gives off some INTP vibes. Really chill, low stress, highly intelligent, derives fulfillment solely from learning, etc... INTPs inherently find things that are out of the ordinary to be rather interesting. He would find Emilee more interesting due to the complexity of who she is as a person. INTPs can become easily bored of simply things, so a relationship with Emilee would actually be very fulfilling for him, because he gets to learn something with great complexity(Emilee), and that something is also a person he is emotionally invested in. Im an INTP as well. MY girlfriend is an INFJ, and she is very "weird" lol. Shes just very complex and quirky, and very different than me in some way. Definitely more anxious, organized, go go go person. Her complexity keeps me engaged in the relationship, and her structured/stressed personality helps balance out mine. She helps motivate me, while I help bring her down when she starts stressing out. Its a very complimentary relationship. Being a Christian always helps to. Having those high expectations for yourself and how you treat your significant other seems like something that would help alot of relationships lol.

gonna have to push back a little on the disability discussion. you won't identify as disabled because of the negative connotation that it means you are less than? but that's just a stereotype. should people from other marginalized groups not identify with that group because of stereotypes? of course not. this is the same thing. it's important to show people that disabled people are normal people like yourself. you can be disabled, smart, interesting, kind, active, beautiful, etc. disabled is just another neutral adjective to describe oneself. calling yourself disabled shows people that disabled people ARE capable and equal human beings. there are plenty of Deaf youtubers who call themselves disabled. we can't have disability rights if we don't call ourselves disabled! please don't fall into that trap thinking disabled people are less than so you don't want to associate with them. look up internalized ableism and the social model of disability.

When I entered Gallaudet university in the first time I saw the deaf people are very fast, I have never done anything in the signs but the professors and my classmates taught me in sign language I understand very well in English. I like video this well nice, I am single for now I have never had relationship is difficult to find a hearing or deaf woman. Can you give me advice? First of all thank you for your great videos. I do have a question. How did y'all set it up with your doctor's office so that he was able to call for you? I am deaf and my husband is hearing. I am always having issues with communicating with my doctor office. My husband would try to call but they always want to talk to me. I am kind of lost as to how to fix this issue. My husband is willing to help but we seem to run into issues with this. Thanks.

We’re sorry to hear that it is such a problem. When we call, we try to call together but Jonathan usually says “I am calling in behalf of my deaf wife to set up an appointment”. They are usually more understanding and helpful when we mention this. I will try to find an online appointment scheduler but if they don’t have that then Jonathan calls and there is usually no problem when he confirms my birthday and full name. Another option I’ve used is VRS. I’ve used it a couple of times and I’ve had a good experience with it. I hope this helps and you get the support and help you deserve!

@@Emileesegura thanks. I will definitely try VRS the next time in a couple of months when I have to go back again. At least for me, this time hopefully my husband gets a chance to go with me as both of my kiddos will be in school. Thank you so much for your amazing channel and contents.

@@jerrywei831 we are doing well. Happy to report that the doctor office got a new office manager that has started to turn the office around to a more deaf friendly way. Thank you so much for asking.
