Using a broken body part - even a toe - can not only cause sepsis that kills you grimly or blood debris that could suddenly cause a lethal stroke even years later, it also just trains you to not take pain seriously in yourself and others. And that's obviously not a workable situation... pain is important and it's not felt the same way by everyone. Nerves literally aren't all made to the same sensitivity. Part of the variance of being organic. When you have a small injury, your thoughts should be "Alright! Since it's a small injury, I'll only be resting and researching better training that won't injure me for a short amount of time and then I will be healed up and back to it." Ignoring small injuries puts you out permanently when they build up to big injuries and disfiguring, chronic issues. If you take your health and athleticism seriously, you need to take your awesome powers of regeneration seriously, and not sabotage its fucking work. Meatheads.

Well the insult at the end was a bit unnecessary but yeah agreed. Take care of your body before the ticking time bomb that is your physical health goes off

He's way is for professional athletes. Yes from what I know it's true for pros at all level. Pros can't afford to lose training days otherwise they will fall behind. Most people here ain't pros. Just amateurs who hold jobs elsewhere. He is not saying u have to follow him. He is saying that's how pros deal with it.

Not sure if srs but if so, embarrassing. Some kid is probably going to see this and turn a temporary injury into a chronic problem.

This is so wrong in countless ways. Even greater concern is for the children who could believe that this is normal behaviour.

As a health professional, physiotherapist I am bound to clinical practice. And as strong your words appear,no court would listen an opinion that broken finger is acceptable. So When patient come to my practice it would be negligence to not treat the Injury.

I usually go to some people I know that can put my ankle, toe and shoulder back in it;s place without x-rays and operations. There are a small number of old people who I know with this gift. Well... in case of a broken bone, I would still go to one of them to put my bone in it's place, and then I would go to the hospital to put it in plaster or something similar. I knew 2 old men, now dead, and they were amazing. They could tell you what's wrong by just touching the knee, the back etc. But, Travis, interesting tactic about the pain.
