Between June 1984 and August 1985, serial killer and rapist Richard Ramirez, a.k.a. “The Night Stalker” terrorized parts of Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. In 1993, Inside Edition spoke to Ramirez about his crimes and if he felt any remorse or guilt for what he did as he sat on death row. Ramirez, who was born on Feb. 29, 1960, died in June 2013 of complications from B-cell lymphoma while awaiting execution. He was 60 years old. #InsideEdition

Maybe if we didn't give serial killers such cool names like "The Night Stalker", and we'd instead call them "The Small PeePee Killer" we'd have less serial killers

2:12 I think it really is that simple with Ramirez. Many serial killers you get the impression that they were miserable broken individuals, Edmund Kemper even turned himself in, requested the death penalty and waived several parole hearings. But Ramirez was just straight up sadistic and enjoyed it, it actually brought him joy. I hesitate to call people evil, because reality isn't that black and white, but yeah he was def evil.
@lilouloulou1993

Kemper actually killed and raped his own mother ,i don’t think you can be more evil than that.Richard was not an angel but he truly cared for his family ,he didn’t even want his family to testify at court because he wanted to protect them .He was sadistic with his victim but he had love for his family so i think he’s waaay less evil than kemper

He’s a truly one of a kind killer. I have to say. I’ve been studying serial killers for awhile now. I got to watch the new Dahmer show that came to Netflix (which is a great show by the way!) Most if not all killers ALWAYS have a motive… wether it be a pleasuring, a feeling of control (usually rape) or some type of feeling that gives them a “safe” kind of feeling. Dahmer, it was about sexual fantasies and being wanted. With John, it was a few things but more than anything that was his kink. I can go on with guys like Manson, Gein and a hell of a lot more. But with this guy, I just can’t put my finger on him. He shows absolutely no remorse. He smiles and giggles when asked about the murders. Through his conviction, he refuses to help and aid with the investigation. Plays the whole “I didn’t do it” statement a lot like Gacy. I can truly say in my opinion that this guy is probably the worst I’ve ever seen as a serial killer. He may not have the biggest count but sometimes it’s not always the numbers, it’s the personality they choose to have once they’re caught and knowing that there’s absolutely no hope or chances of freedom ever again. Ramirez is 100% aware of his situation but that doesn’t stop him in the least bit with his horrible attitude and demeanor.

He was in solitary confinement for 28 years, in Adjustment Center, part of San Quentin prison. I think if he was in general population he would probably be killed by other inmate like it happened with serial killer Dahmer, that is one of the reasons they put him in solitary confinement, besides that he was considered dangerous criminal.

You can actually look at peoples brain scans now. Sociopaths brain scans show up differently to those with empathy. Sociopath’s have a problem with their frontal lobe. A lot of them have actually had childhood head trauma. Eg. knocks to the skull. Recent studies show concussions actually cause aggression.

Get an animal companion, find an outlet for your rage, eg. a hobbie, something that exerts that rage in a healthy manner. Go to church that you like find a good genuine community. Write your feelings and process them. Stay away from alcohol and drugs. Spend a lot of time in nature. The fact you worry and can admit that is step one. I believe in you ❤

I agree to some of his points. Sometimes people turn violent with years and years of abuse trauma frustration. That comes from broken family , poverty drugs abuse bully.. and these things turns into anger after years.. and then people become aggressive for no reason they become wild angry mad furious.. they start to hate everything everyone. It is completely psychological. Mental impact that comes from childhood to adulthood traumas combined. It a mental illness that occurs after life's bad experiences.. and then people start to kill and show no remorse.. no regret no reaction to their crime.. they become numb and dead to kill some other humans .. but killing is bad...

@John Doe I wouldn't say that evil powers protected Ramirez. As vile as he was when he was alive, he still had constitutional rights. What protected him was due process and, from law enforcement's perspective, apparently a strong conscience not to hurt him while he was in custody. As for not being hurt while on death row, that's not surprising. You have to remember that Ramirez shared space with other scumbags like him. Martin Kipp is a glaring example.
