Some info: 1) Sam is the only one unaffected by reversed gravity; 2) As seen in the second trailer, not all enemies are invisible; 3) The collor band in their wrists seem to display their health; 4) The baby seems to control the mechanical arms in the suits; 5) The black figure pointing the finger (I assume to be Mads Mikkelsen) also has a baby with him; 6) The gigantic black creature has a gigantic umbilical cord; 7) The rain is called timefall and speeds up time and their suits protect them from it; 8) I believe it is in-game graphics since Kojima has always worked with this method of cutscenes; 9) When the big black creature "explodes" Sam is sent to the purgatory, where players are supposed to go "instead" of the traditional mechanics of dying in video games.

After that big alien exploded he died, so the water portion is like purgatory. Kojima even said "Death" itself is a big part of the overall game mechanic. I can't wait to see what he comes up with.

You can tell in all the MGS games that Hideo Kojima loved adding supernatural elements. Now those elements will be the primary focus and sneaking will come second.

My most Anticipated Games (not necessarily for 2017) are: -Cyberpunk 2077 -The Last of Us Part II -Red Dead Redemption II -Death Stranding -Anthem - Though my anticipation is waning on this one because of EA and their "intelligence"

The game has been in development for about a year and is roughly 30% ready according to Kojima himself in an interview. In light of that it is safe to bet it will launch xmas 2019, maybe later.

Joe, you need to watch the 3 trailers side by side. They match up. They all take part at the same time in parallel worlds. The underwater bit is playable. When you die the game, the game doesn't end. You go into another world, find your body and get your stuff back.

The underwater scene with Norman Reedus is actually what happens when you die. IGN did an interview with Kojima. He explained how every time you die you go into that underwater world which is like a place between death and life and it turns into first person and you have to gather all your belongings Before you go back to life. Then you come back at the exact same spot you died in after you completed between the life and death world. And each time that you die Norma's Reedus or sam's body gets a new hand print on it. The reason why that guy aged rapidly was the rain. The rain rapidly speeds up time and only Norman reedus character is not affected by it because he is special.

Hey show, i watched a video where some people interviewed kojima about the game and apprently when norman he was in the water, he was dead, kojima said that death is an in game mechanic and when you die in the game, the world continues without you and you have to collect some of ur equipment and swim back to your body, thats why after he woke up the hole from the explosion was still there. And also he said that theirs something called time fall, wich is rain but it make whatever it touches age quickly, thats why that guy was ageing so quick and also the plants in the beginning where affected by the rain.

Ya'll missed the handprints inside of Norman Reedus in the zoom shot with the baby inside his stomach? Norman Reedus is obviously the chosen one. Death, which is stranding is the life that came with the next bang, the life that is also death. It turns any living organism on the planet it feeds on into a brainless docile shell of it's former self, to eventually do the same with the planet it is feeding off. Death Stranding needs to end life in order for it to live, but just ending a life won't gain it anything, it feeds on knowledge, memories, or atleast something a newborn baby lacks, perhaps it feeds off worries, or misery. The life it will take needs to be worthy, as seen in the trailer. (Note the dream catcher on Norman his back during the opening scene) And if i'm right about what i think, then i think i'm wrong about what i wrote :D ~CGTv Ps: Just like in the other trailers (Kojima said so himself) the "camera" is not the camera (look at how it moves, compare it to the other trailers, it's a being)

Death Stranding is an action game set in an open world environment, which also includes multiplayer functions.[2][3] When the main character Sam dies, the player is sent to another world, referred to as an upside-down world submerged in water. Kojima suggests that when the player returns to the world of the living, anything they did or any damage that an explosion or the likes causes when the player dies remains persistent in the world and does not go away. Another element talked about is the existence of "Timefall" a type of rain with the ability to age or deteriorate whatever it hits. Another gameplay element talked about is the players ability to interact with the environment and wander outside of the character's body, as well as recovering items when they die. Basically you 'control' Sam, but you don't play as Sam, you play as a 'player' who is meddling in Sam's reality.

Kojima said when the explosion happened and he was underwater that was a purgatory state after an in game death and the gameplay underwater is you are in first person and you have to find your body so you can wake back up and play again. But whatever just happened before he died did actually happen and the explosion aftermath as you can see is still there even after death.

My prediction is that this game has something to do with a dimensional rift. What I mean is that what we as humans perceive in 3 dimensions is not the whole picture. There are other dimensions and things happening around us that we cannot perceive or interact with in any way. Either through some disaster or some kind of scientific experiment gone wrong this barrier begins to break down and things we wish we had stayed ignorant of start crossing that barrier. I mean I could be totally wrong, that's just where the trailer takes my mind.

The baby in the pod is either powering the antenna, or the baby is the only one who can truly see the enemy, and they have him in a pod with the antenna to show where the enemy is.

The only constant thing in all the trailers is the baby. The baby has something to do with identifying the enemy bc Norman Reddus antenna or whatever you want to call it didn't activate until he held the baby other than that i have no idea wtf is going on.

So every time you “die” you end up in the ocean and you have to float around in first person looking around for your weapons and body. From what I understand. If you “die” from a big explosion and you are reborn, the damage and aftermath of the explosion remains, so the game doesn’t reload it continues on from where you failed. If that makes sense lol

90% budget went for trailer 10% for the actual game.

This will most likely come out in 2020, all 3 trailers we've seen so far were concept showcases and displaying Kojima's genius at work. I bet next year we'll have another cinematic teaser and 2019 Game Awards will feature a gameplay trailer with a 2020 release date reveal. Come back here in about 2 years and see if I'm right :)

Honestly it's perfect for a cinematic trailer; we have no idea what the fuck is going on but it still looks awesome. Kojima has delivered before, but this time he doesn't have Konami holding him back. I will be genuinely surprised if the story ends up being shit, Kojima usually always does great stories.

Fun thing about this Trailer/the game over all, Apparently the game is playable at this stage. This cutscene takes place somewhere along the lines of four hours into the game and by this point(Supposedly) you'll understand the world and the mechanics.

It feels to me like the "fourth explosion" referenced in the trailer is some kind of interdimensional or interplanar breach, with what we have seen of the bridges organizations and the descriptions and themes of interconnectivity and shared experiences. Maybe bridges is an organization that started exploring other dimensions via connections between individuals who have alter egos in multiple dimensions, and they shattered the barriers separating realities......just off the cuff musings. Looks intriguing.

I think they might be using the babies to detect the monsters. Norman Reedus's character's detection thing didn't work until he was holding the baby container.

Getting heavy inter-dimensional being vibes from the floating dudes and the monster. Some sort of cross-dimension 'big bang' maybe, hence the "bang that created life" bit at the end, probably the big bang, followed by "an explosion that will be our last". This next big bang explosion may have caused a rift to tear open between the dimensions, allowing the inhabitants of the dimension to enter. I mainly stand by this 'dimension theory' because of how one of the creatures rapidly aged the guy stuck under the structure. This ageing could indicate that they have some sort of mastery over space-time, which may hint that they come from a dimension higher than the 3rd- our one. The babies may also be some sort of power source for the people in the trailer. This may be far stretched, but the babies could potentially be affected by this second explosion, giving them powers, hence them being sources of energy. Side note- the rocks and such rising from the ground could also indicate that their state is being changed back in time to their original form- debris from outer space, hence the zero-grav. The crater at the end could also be an indicator of the same thing- returning the environment to its earliest form.

I really want to know what's going on in the beautiful twisted mind of Kojima-kun. My initial concern was his choice of Hollywood actors, especially when I saw Norman. His role in Walking Dead is literally "the guy with the crossbow", and it wasn't until recently when he was a prisoner that his character grew development, which in case showed off more of his acting potential. But that all went away when I saw Mads. Looking forward to this one!

-Mad Mikkelsen is the mysterious cool looking guy (the shhh gesture gave it away from previous trailer) -the in game Health indicators are hand wrist. -they are in the parallel dimensions called Bridges -The Bridges logo with spider web of the Americas are probably mean something. -Porter logo on the uniforms is a clue.

I don't like to buy games on day 1, but this is definitley a game that i'll pay the full 60$ price tag for and pre order when I can.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this game, purely because of how interesting it looks. I hope they don't bite off more than they can chew in the trailers and create questions they don't end up answering though.
