I do not get paid in any way for this video by NuWave. My initial payment was $123 and then for 2 months after that I paid $33 each for a total of $189. To me it is worth every penny that I spent. I think that if someone took it away from me right now, I would be lost. I use the cookware every single day along with the cooktop. My best investment yet!!

After just buying the same set you did online and then reading several negative reviews I wondered if I made a mistake and even gave thought to calling my bank and canceling (which would have been a cost similar to one shipping fee). But after watching your video I now feel a lot better. Thank you for taking the time to do this and being an older occupational therapist with several joint replacements I appreciated you comment on ease of use for the disableD.

Debbie, I absolutely agree that the cost is reasonable. Besides the 2 PICs and the free cookware, I bought all the other PIC accessories they offer except the carrying case, pressure cooker and 9-inch and 11.5-inch Premium Tempered Glass Lids.Shipping costs were discounted to $5.60. All the other pots and pans are just as heavy as the free cookware and all have the same non-stick coating as the free pans. The grill and griddle are cast iron enamel coated. Total cost was less than $500.00

Thanks for watching and commenting. It is so good to find someone else who agrees with me. I do wish that I had bought a lot more of their items but I didn't. I haven't checked to see if I could get them since I have had my PIC for so long now. I just love mine!!!

I bought the same set as you. I used it for the first time last night to cook chicken breast with great results! Very juicy! I like having the flexibility to cook on the nuwave instead of my gas stove.

It takes a certain amount of energy to boil water in a container. The thinner the container the faster it will boil. Whether you use low power for long time or or high power for a short time the same amount of power is used. It would boil faster in a smaller lighter pot. The adjustable temps allow for what is being heated so that it doesn't stick over cook on the bottom etc. Excellent deal if you get 10 years of use. The Pots/pans are a good deal. Nice job. Thank you for sharing.

OK thanks so much. I guess I haven't paid full attention to the ad. My husband just watched your review and was very impressed with the info you gave. Debbie, I can't believe you do all you do for your family from a wheelchair. God bless you, girl. You are amazing! I only have to use my chair for outside or on very bad days, but standing at the stove is not possible. Luckily my husband is now retired & he jumps in on the parts I can't handle, but thus would make things so much easier. Thank you!

Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about getting this set. Now I am sold. Someone may have already mentioned this, but since it is wattage based settings, kick that baby on high til she boils, then lower the setting to 220 or whatever you want. It will boil much faster. I don't believe induction surface will have the same wear-and-tear as conduction burners suffer from rapid heating.... Have a Nice Day :)
@darthvaydr
@darthvaydr 2 жыл бұрын
I also wondered why she didn’t set the unit to “sear” instead of 220. I would think that setting it to a higher temp would help it reach 220 much quicker lol. If you use this to sear steaks, you will set it to “sear” right off the bat anyway, so I don’t see rapid heating to ever be an issue. This is a very old comment section but I just bought one of these units on Amazon and I’m trying it later this evening to sear some ribeyes. All these years later it’s still getting great reviews!

This is what I've noticed. First they make 3 original PIC-1300W, PIC2-1500W and they PIC Pro-1800W. They are still advertising only the original on TV, Online the PIC2 and Call the PIC PRO. I've tried/used several others: ALL work pretty much the same. The advantage of Nu-Wave is Programmable and Temparature range.. NONE of them are EVEN across the pans. Advantage of induction, it fast and doesn't heat up kitchen. Efficiency: 12% over electric and 50% over gas. Need dedicated outlet to get wattage draw.. Pans stick after a few uses. The PIC2 and PIC PRO..when pan is lifted off, the fan stops immediately and have to push start to return cooking. ALL PICs, regarless of brand m, maintains temperature by cycling on/off. the outer edges are apparently controlled by the center, because it never gets as hot..evenly. Eggs, hamburgers, etc will not cook evenly because of the cycling and the center control. While better than guessing on a regular stovetop, temps are not accurate, especially below 200 degrees. Heat above desired temps a few secons before dropping in foods than are not room temp. BTW, there are couple of dual burners at 1800watts, but; they don't tell you that they split the wattage (900) each. But the same will be true if if you plugged in 2 PICs on the same circuit/plug..especially less if you're also sharing with the frig and lights...if circuit doesn't blow first. BTW, if you have a 20amp cuircuit and plug in a surge protector they trip at 15 amps. But, I could envision several on a buffet at low temp. I paid about $240 2 PIC Pros, with the accessories advertised..TOTAL.
@RickyP033
@RickyP033 10 жыл бұрын
I would like to find someone with a "home" induction cooktop demo. The portables advantage is that they only heat the pot...and though the temperature is not exactly correct, it is better than guessing. They also, cycle the heat on/off...that's why it tends to burn less often than a gas/electric. Disadvantages: The coil doesn't react the same as the center and edges. Kichen electrics are usually shared and or not dedicated. So, it's like using a thin 100' cord for a weed whacker vs 2 - 50' cords that are thicker. And most homes are 15amps. Like most power needs to be closer to center for best performance. A 5,000 BTU Furnaces will cost less electricity drain than a 3,000 BTU. NuWaves advantage over the others is multiple temp control and programmable. ....

Got mine as a gift and used it for over a year now - love it. No problems at all - also ordered a new one for my father in October but did not upgrade to the high wattage as the surge protection likes under 1700 watts items (the upgrade states it is 1800 watts) I did get the grill attachment and two pans. They are amazing and nothing has stuck to them yet. In my opinion these are all worth the money.

I bought this. You are right that the free items cannot be purchased for the amount charged for S&H. I think what folks are angry about is the amount of the S&H. There is no way that it costs $90+ to pay people to pack and ship these items. They are making money on this, so they should not advertise the items as free. This "free with S&H" is a marketing tactic to get people to purchase more than the offered product. But I agree, the products are excellent and a great bargain, even with the S&H..

Very nice. We've been using an induction cooktop for years. Hands down the fastest method for boiling water for pasta. The very best control for simmering sauces. The pan does the cooking so there are no hot spots. Yes, the cooking surface remains cool to the touch even though the pot is boiling away. You can place a paper towel under the pan to catch splatters and have no fear of fire. They ain't cheap, but the cost of electricity to run them is very very low.

Debbie, could you clarify for me please? When I see the ad on TV they just show the 2 cooktops for one price. Do they offer all the rest when you call in, or are you seeing a different ad there? Again, thanks for showing this, I have limited standing time. If I buy one of these I can find myself a quiet corner where the cord wont be in anyone's path, and do any parts of a recipe that require a long attendance time. Thanks again!

WOW!!! All of our Rite Aids closed around here. We just have CVS and Walgreen's. That is an awesome deal. You lucked out on that one. I'm telling you Charlie, there is not a day goes by that I don't use my NuWave. You just have to make sure you get the stainless steel pots and pans or cast iron and you can cook anything. Before I had ever even heard of the NuWave I had gotten a set of pots and pans from Walmart that was all Stainless Steel. Then when I got the NuWave and found out you can only use Stainless Steel bottom pots and pans or cast iron I was so excited. You are so lucky and I know you are going to love it. I wish I got paid for my love of the NuWave. LOL God Bless you. :)

Thanks for the great video Debbie I have seen the TV add and it looks inviting but I have done a lot of research and reading reviews on this cooktop and the majority of the reviews were pretty bad. I'm looking to try induction cooktop, but I don't need the pans. Looks like the NuWave only heats a small circle where other cooktops show water boiling and it looks like a 8 to 10 inch circle that boils. You should make a video that shows how large the area is that heats the water. Thanks.

I've got two,, usually alternate using them so one doesn't get all the use. Seldom turn on the stove any longer..One of the units I got would not stay on more than a minute. Called the company and they sent me another one and simply shipped the first one back in the same box.As stated about the stove.. I screwed up and put the unit on the stove and then turned the stove on,, after wondering where the smell was coming from I learned a lesson..Had to go buy another one,,,,

I am curious, I have a "cheap" induction cooker and only the center circle (apx 4 in) gets hot no matter what temp setting it is on....does the NuWave do the same or does the outer circle get hot too? Makes for very uneven cooking on one I have....I have not tried cast iron yet it MIGHT cook more even.

***** You do know you have to 'condition' cast iron cookware, right? If you have problems frying potatoes in your cast iron pan, the pan just needs conditioning. Google that. Great video, thanks. If someone wants to see 1 min video on nuwave, they are out there. Your's was full of detail and besides I was cleaning the kitchen while it was playing so I mostly listened to your voice describing your love for the product. I did one on smart air beds just because I own one of those beds (queen size) and I LOVE IT!!! VERY inexpensive, and if you pump it up with air then release the air then repeat two more times you won't have issues with air leakage. I have not had to add air more than once a month, and only because air eventually seeps out 'by magic', but only a little air was needed. Best restful sleep I've ever had on a bed, too, night after night after night and 66 sleeping through the night is a miracle, usually, but I sleep through the night without interruption every night. Sorry for doing a 'pitch' for smart air beds on your 'pitch' for Nuwave! :)

TheGeekiestWoman Yes, I have seasoned many a cast iron skillet but I do have a problem with the big cast iron skillet on the NuWave because it overlaps the ring of heat so it doesn't work as well as it would on a real stove. TheGeekiestWoman I never knew that about airbeds. I have bought many from a shopping channel and they all leaked. I would return it and get another only for that one to leak also. During the night I would be pumping the air bed up several times. Maybe if there is a "next time" I will know to blow it up a few times before I use it. Thnx !!!! DebbieFoodPrepping--Thnx for your video on PIC. I was thinking about buying one and now you have made up my mind. I live in SC and I have an accent but only to people that don't live in the south. When I moved to Michigan for a while they all said I had a southern accent and then came back down south to visit they all said I had a northern accent. So I had two accents at one time. Funny. Always be proud of who you are cause you are unique--there has never been another you and there will never be another you again.

I am glad to hear that as I watched this because I needed to see the water boiling & what was set to do it. I didn't feel this water was boiling, it was simply bubbling a little. I want to use the NuWPro with three options of wattage setting(two units just arrived)as my 1800 watt(my PIC Pro says 1800 watts)was too risky for my outlet. Anyway, I am very glad you share the "SEAR" function to boil as I am aching to steam veggies(pot in pot). If you've had success & are still around, would you respond. Thanks for your info...it's very imp't to know this will boil on SEAR...

Well you could always order the grill attachment online, it's only 30 bucks or so plus the shipping. I'm buying this primarily for candy crafting. One of my favorite desserts is a dulce de leche and vanilla custard recipe. Have you every made anything like that with your cooktop? Considering it'd be next to impossible to burn the simmering milk with an induction top I think it'd turn out splendidly. I can give you the recipe too if you wanna give it a try.

As someone did say here you need to turn up to sear to bring to a fast boil. What you did should have only taken 90 seconds. And it was not boiling in this review. It was getting there. The temps on these cooktops do vary from what they say on the screen. That's why most manufactures don't list temps like nuwave. In regards to bed bath and beyond you can get 2 for $160 with coupons. And then you add back in the tax. Where I'm from that's 6%. And that's low compared to some. So that's $169.60. You do get a small pan with each. For about $21 more the tv deal is worth it. The additions are you get the pot & steamer insert and a bigger pan, and the fondue set. I think it's worth $21. And stop saying you cannot get better pans. You sure as hell can. I have calphalon tri ply. All induction ready. If all you need is one nuwave go to bed bath and beyond. If you want two then why not order direct for the extras?

Hi and thanks for watching and commenting. My initial payment was $123 and then for 2 months after that I paid $33 each for a total of $189. To me it is worth every penny that I spent. I think that if someone took it away from me right now, I would be lost. I use the cookware every single day along with the cooktop. My best investment yet!!

So this is what Paula Dean is doing now, $238.85 is a decent deal for the package delivered to your door step, 2 cook tops, 2 pans, 1 pot,1 lid and a steamer = less than $35 bucks an item + fondu skewers... not $99 but not a scam.

Debbie, Be more prepared for this. It could been done in 7 minutes. Boil your water on high setting and it will take 1/2 the time, my regular stove will boil water in 5 minutes.You forgot to Say it's 30 for the first item, 30 for the second item, 30 for the third item and so on to ship. So that's 90 in shipping charges for two units and the " FREE " cookware. or 200 dollars. I also think they pay you. Just sayin

90 seconds if you're boiling a tiny amount of water but if you've got 3 or 4 cups it's closer to 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 minutes.

i have got a PIC and it does work well but only complaint is that they never tell u that you need special pots and pans to use on these....and as for the nuwave oven i got plenty of complaints for that...1) is the plastic they use cracks after so long of using it and you need to buy to replace it, 2) the plastic which the metal liner goes into cracks or melts you need to buy to replace that,3) the top where the timer and temp control is can go at anytime and it will cost you 65 to 75 for another top plus S&H.....so it is up to each individuals thoughts of what they think.....

The product is good, but the shipping cost is a scam. Just go to Bed Bath and Beyond, and with the 20% discount it's way cheaper. That's what I did.

it did not start boiling fast enough as shown on their tv. ad, it started boiling right away, i was interested in purchasing this product until i started doing the s/h math which adds up to $100.00 on its own and then the 3 pymts of 33.95 is another $100.00 so $99.00 turned into $216.00 just like that. i wrote them to find out how much it would cost to send everything in one box or altogether today, bet it is much cheaper so actually to me this has hidden sales tactics written all over it, guess you do not have to have the freebees however, except you need the special pans, i had a green pan and had to send it back as the inside started chipping off. they also have a known shopping network host advertising this burner.

I don't get paid for my review on this product but I will tell you this. It is absolutely worth every penny I paid for it. I have used just one of the 2 I got, for over a year and a half now and it has not given me one minute of it not working. I use it absolutely every single day. Not a day goes by that I don't cook something on it. You don't have to have the pans, you don't have to get the 2nd one either. I had a set of pans that I had before I bought my NuWave, that work fine on it. It just can't be aluminum bottomed pans but any that are stainless steel or cast iron will work fine on it. Thank you for watching and commenting. Good luck!!
