Decrease in Bats Could Hurt Coffee and Chocolate Crops

17 күн бұрынAs a species, bats kind of get a bad rap, but the people who study them want to revamp their image. "They're not only cute, but they do these amazing roles for our ecosystem," says UCLA bat biologist Joseph Curti. Those roles include pest control and pollination. Scientists tell CBS News that 300 species of fruit depend on bats to spread their seeds. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

I remember reading about this in an article in the 2010s. If people read more articles instead of celebrity gossip you would have known that there is a coffee and chocolate shortage coming.

I love bats and have seen them in two bat channels and I have seen them in several zoos also. Some species of bats have puppy dog faces.
