Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use kzfaq.infoUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

Just did same test you’ve done with the 2000 psi, the 1900 psi and the 1600 psi. I found they ALL produced 1500 psi even though advertised as more. Buy the 1600 psi unit and save money!

I Tested mine and was disappointed as well only getting 1600 PSI with 1.5 Orifice 15 degree Nozzle that came with it. I Tried 2.5 ORIFICE 40 Degree nozzle and only get 900 PSI… Quick note I also purchased the FLEXZILLA 1/4 inch 50ft, Not sure if it makes a difference of 3/8inch hose over a 1/4 inch.

Great review. Listen, there's users who claim you can't use these commercially. Definitely not true. They get the job done without dealing with gas, oil, sparkplugs or carbon monoxide fumes. Very economical and if it breaks, just get a new one. I highly recommend Ryobi.

I bought this unit 3 days ago. Didnt see any reviews on it . Main reason i got it was to wash my cars using Foam cannon and it makes it easier to wash. Love that its not as loud as a gas compressor or gas power washer. And it shuts off as soon as you release the trigger. Making it easy to listen to my wife if she randomly starts talking to me while im using it.

I have this pressure washer. The button for the extending handle is perfect where it is. It doubles as a carrying handle. If the button was on the grip, you wouldnt be able to lift the washer with the handle retracted to carry it around. Also, FYI if you leave the soap tank empty, it will pulse on and off while you're not using it. I recommend filling it with water if you don't want to add soap. The hose is honestly the only thing I don't like about this unit. I feel like it becomes a whole ordeal winding and unwinding the hose, to the point where I just use a regular garden hose unless a pressure washer is absolutely necessary. Recently though, I bought a hose reel for this, and a longer hose. It bolts and clamps down on the "roll cage" at the top of the pressure washer and makes this unit waayyy easier to set up and put away. I use it a lot more now for everyday jobs around the house. It's listed on Amazon as "MEKOH Pressure Washer Hose Reel 50ft"

I just bought one of these yesterday. I used mine today and just rinsed off our cars, with no soap. I bought this pressure washer for small jobs and I think I'm really going to like it. I'm going to try this on my deck to see if it will take off the dirt (never stained the deck after it was installed, but its time to do so). Thanks for the great video!

As a detailer, I’ve been using my Sun Joe SPX2598-MAX 2000 PSI Pressure Washer, but need something smaller in size. I don’t know if my ratings are accurate as I’ve never tested them, but it works great (after adding quick connects and a new hose a couple years ago), but I need something smaller, more likely to sit in the backseat of a Honda Accord I was at Home Depot the other day and had the roll cage design (2000 Ryobi) in my cart as well as the lower 1900 PSI, 1800 PSI, and the 1600 psi (all Ryobi). So I look like crazy with 4 different pressure washers in my actual cart in the store, not sure which one to buy I decided not to pull the trigger and do some research which I’m so glad you are doing videos still as I took The past eight months on a Detailing break because of dealing with grief from a major loss plus the Arizona tea makes it so hard to want to detail when it’s 115° outside. So I was So happy to see that you are doing so well making all these videos and your channel has grown so much which is so great! Reading through the comments it sounds like they all work relatively the same (when tested), but if you were in my spot with those choices (unless the Dewalt roll cage design is back in stock today which to be honest is above what I’m looking to spend but will invest in it if it’s worth it/far more superior than the others) but with a Detail on a beautiful Toyota Tundra tomorrow, I was going to head to Home Depot again in a little bit to make a decision so I was wondering if you were going to pick one on those up from Home Depot today which one would you choose?
@imjoshv
@imjoshv 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Tiffany If space is the main concern i would get the 1600 or 1800 since the are smaller. With all of them i upgrade the hose and accessories, but as far as the internals go, they all get very close performance.
@Tiffany.Detailer
@Tiffany.Detailer 2 жыл бұрын
@@imjoshv thank you for replying and so fast that I am still trying to edit my comment from before! lol but yes size is the factor for changing my machine so anything smaller than what I’m running right now will work great! I’m just afraid of losing the power that mine puts out. I need to go back and rewatch a few videos of yours and also reread some comments about the Ryobi line and how they all rate around the same level not sure what psi that is though, But if that’s the case and they all run about the same it would save me a couple hundred dollars to go for one of the smaller ones if they are really that similar. I really do love the Dewalt 2100 psi and Ryobi‘s 2000 psi both roll cage/suitcase type machines but I need to rewatch your videos and see if those are comparable, close to the ratings or not or if I should just buy a cheaper Ryobi. So that’s where I’m stuck is the actual in real life Tess of how they run because if they ran off of what they say my top 3 picks in order would be the 2100 Dewalt, the 2000 Ryobi or the 1900 Ryobi (as I don’t think I should buy something rated lower than 1900 if it tests much lower, but then again I am still learning which is why i’m writing you this novel asking for your advice and I appreciate you so much! I wish I had a pressure gauge so I could test my Sun Joe SPX 2598-MAX because I absolutely love it and it can even be too strong sometimes even with the 40° tip. The tips I use are the ones that came with the machine but I did switch everything else out as far as making everything quick connects, buying a new lance/gun currently it’s hooked up to the small purple gun which you suggested a few years back on one of your videos, so I bought it and have been using it ever sense! I also have had the blue flex hose saved in my Amazon favorites for a few years now, but I had just bought 2 of the PowerCare hoses fromHome Depot using a coupler to put them together making a super long hose right (before I knew about the flex hose) which have worked great. So I figured as soon as I’m ready to upgrade parts again, I’ll buy the blue flex hose that I’ve always wanted, definitely from one of your links because it’s the least I can do! I believe it was years ago when I was trying to figure out how to set up everything with quick connects in the first place is when I came across your channel. Now that I’m back from my break, I’ll be able to catch up on all your videos that you’ve made this year lol but I was really hoping to figure this out night so I don’t have to haul my big pressure washer in my car tomorrow morning but that’s totally on me and I appreciate everything you do and all the info you put out because it’s always helped me since I fist started! So it’s great to see your channel has grown and I hope it continues to grow because anyone in the Detailing world should know about you 🙂 So Trap this up, size wise all five of those options work great. I’m just a little confused about the ratings on each one and how they work in real life. I’m hoping I can quickly watch through your videos in between appointments today so I can run to Home Depot and buy the best bang for my buck hoping I can transfer all my added accessories such as hose, quick connects and that little purple gun over to the new machine without a problem before my detail early in the morning. So I guess it just depends on which of these smaller options Is actually close to its ratings, and if it’s powerful enough to be at or very close to what I’ve been using (Sun Joe SPX 2598- MAX which has a 13-amp motor and is rated at 2000 PSI and 1.6GPM) also if it’s durable enough to use as a weekly detailer and hopefully won’t break after a few uses as I hope to use this weekly for quite a while. I’m sorry I know that’s a lot and there’s so many machines out there which is why I appreciate you and your channel and your honest ratings so if any of that narrows it down and the best option youd go with pops in your mind, let me know! My plan is to buy it tonight as long as I can make time to still make it to my doctor appointment as I’ve been typing this the whole time so I’m sorry it’s extremely long, and if I can find a machine that is powerful yet small enough to fit in this category and it’s easy to switch over the quick connects and all the upgrades I’m hoping I can make it to either Home Depot or Lowe’s before they close tonight!

Dude, getting a 15$ foam cannon is light years better than janky soap system whatever is internal on the machines. They are utterly useless. You already have a pressure washer, a hose, a gun, why are you against adding a 1 liter bottle to the mix? No one will show a video of the built in one because no one is ever going to use it lol

Works great with the 2.5 orifice but the pump seemed to struggle with the 3.0 sized nozzle. The pump would intermittingly drop pressure, surge then be fine. Would do it every couple of minutes. I switched back to the 2.5 and it didn't repeat the issue.

You needed to test the pressure with the original Ryobi hose as that was probably the hose that allowed that pressure specification. You tested a 50 ft. hose and doubling the length from 25 ft. increased the pressure loss in the hose due to the extra length. You should see a pressure reduction as a function of increasing hose length of the hose. Redo the test with a 25 ft. hose and see.
@imjoshv
@imjoshv Ай бұрын
Hi Jim I’ve actually made some videos testing different hose lengths and diameters. At least with the amount of time I test there is no measurable difference between even a 20ft hose and a 100ft hose. Now I do agree if you were to test the psi and flow consistently over an hour or something then you may be able to see a difference, but for the test there is nothing measurable. Because of the I use the aftermarket hose because it’s much easier to work with. The way pressure washers are rated rarely ever shows the usable number but more the maximum psi and maximum flow. Such as the psi at the initial release of the trigger, and the highest gpm flow which is without a nozzle.
@jimbruton9482
@jimbruton9482 Ай бұрын
@@imjoshv You may be right in that the difference of pressure between hoses may not be much, basic hydraulics dictate that pressure loss in a pipe (or hose) is real and is a function of flow rate, pipe diameter and pipe length. You may also want to test the pressure at the wand end versus the end of the hose to see if there's a pressure difference.

@@imjoshvI did some deep research and the Mosmatic guns are made by Suttner. Just sharing here in case someone is interested. Basically you can buy the same exact gun from Suttner for a fraction of the price, but without swivel. The Mosmatic 29.132 is built exactly the same than the Suttner ST-2605. Same trigger, same built, just not swivel. Mosmatic also sells the Mosmatic 29.081withouth swivel, but it doesn't have the same trigger. So I just got the Suttner ST-2605 on ebay for $29.99 after a $10 coupon for using the app or something like that. Instead of paying over $100. Yeah an integrated swivel looks nicer, but that's the only benefit, zero difference in usage once you install your own.

Curious if you had a preference out of the 2000, the 1900, or the 1600 Ryobi? Was mainly planning on using it for cleaning driveway/patio type of stuff. I saw the reviews of all 3 and kind of came away thinking the main difference was packaging (wheels, nicer housing, etc), is that a fair assessment or would you recommend one over the other?

I picked up the RYOBI 2000psi based on your review for around the house stuff a few weeks back. I now am thinking about if I can use it on the trucks. Can I use a 2000psi unit on vehicles and if so what do I need to know about pressure washing vehicles? Do you have any how to videos I can check out?

I have a home depot "powerwasher 2010" (that's the name on the front) 1850 psi. It have used it constantly for the last 12 years. My trigger just blew the o rings last week. The unit came with special long attachments that I love especially a sonic blaster which I have never seen offered on any other system out there. Though replacing the o rings is easy enough, I tried to find a replacement handle and hose as a back up. No such luck. Because the long attachments and how they go in to the handle, universal handles won't work and the way the hose hooks in to the handle a univeral hose won't work, they made everything proprietary. I am still trying to find some place that sells parts for this. I just bought the generac 3200 psi max 2.7 gpm clean system. It has a dial in pressure adjustment so I can go from simple hose pressure, to soap, to windows, to cars to concrete, to the max pressure. It comes with all the attachments including a special cement jet cleaner and pressure broom. I haven't gotten it yet but then again I just ordered it three days ago. Whole system for $480. I am excited to try it. I have a fence that needs re oiling and this unit is right for the job. Thanks for showing us this review. It was helpful.

@@imjoshv love the Generac. Best one I have used. On the strongest setting, it took off a layer of cement to make it look like brand new. I tried it on a section of fence and forgot to turn down the pressure on the handle, adjustment goes from1800 psi to 3200, and it ate a deep gouge in the wood. It’s a super powerful unit! Nice and compact too, came with all kinds of attachments. I got it through sams but have seen it a little cheaper other places.

Fantastic video!! Forgive my ignorance, but I heard you say that you always use a foam cannon rather than the on-board soap dispenser. My question is, Why? Is there a disadvantage using the soap dispenser? Thanks for any insight you can provide.
@mjmreptiles9322
@mjmreptiles9322 3 жыл бұрын
As i learned from Josh, if you use the soap dispenser, the soap will travel through your hose. Then when you want pure water, there will be soap residue in the hose and you wont get pure rinsing water.
