Doug, this is a rock solid response. I have enjoyed many of his videos over the past couple of years, but this video certainly needed a response. He does not seem to want to discuss the issue on his platform (although he brings it up a ton) so this may be the only way to try and engage him about getting his facts straight. Not everyone’s video on YT needs attention, but he has a large platform and I think this is needed. Very well done!

Very excited for your "Christianity from the ground up" series. Don't mean to hijack your idea, but it would be especially interesting to me if precisely why Christian claims over and above, say, Jewish and Muslim claims to revelation are dependable is a topic within them. Excellent work as always, Dr. Beaumont.

Love your responses in both videos. Although I don't belong to any organized religion, I do believe in God and Christ and his teachings. But what is disturbing is the fact when you see comments, a lot of people are praising him and of course a lot of them are pagans themselves. Or so they call themselves like that. And these people ignore the fact that paganists in the past sacrificed people to their gods. Nowadays they show their faith through offerings of flowers and plants. What is going to stop them from sacrificing people if hypothetically they become a dominant religion. Which ironically would just prove what Revelations told us about our future. And from my observation in what is happening today we might see the resurgence in paganism and idolatry because it suits to the people in power. Sorry for any grammar mistakes, English isn't my first language 😅

3:29 _"Christianity was forced on people in Norway by etc."_ While St. Olaf was a bit rough, so were his pagan opponents. He ignores the slow Christianisation of Denmark and Sweden, as well as the unanimous decision to become Christians on Iceland. Even so, Norwegian pagans in St. Olaf's day were a far cry from the plight of Azteks at the hand of Spaniards in alliance with such Indians as the Azteks had oppressed ...

I recently came up to this video by the algorithm, and it really did not disappoint. Curiously enough I encounter a similar video called “How Christianity was Forced on the Germanic Peoples” by a channel called Norse Magic and Beliefs. It had a similar premise, and I was looking for answers to this issue, but thankfully I encounter this video and it answered my questions. Thank you

Yes, one can't divest yourself from the reality of the only two options. In the beginning Yah created the heavens and the earth. Or you wirship creation and insult Yah. As in HaleluYah. Christ ian. Pronunciation of words is force of the law by the Yah. In the beginning was the word and the word was with Yah and the Word was Yah.

@@DouglasBeaumont Yes, the practices were repugnant for sure, but I love to learn about Greek and Norse mythology from an intellectual and scholarly perspective. And interesting fun facts about the belief system of the Vikings. For example, the Vikings also left offerings to other beings in the spiritual realm. They left offerings of butter to the Elves, for instance. I'm not interested in becoming a Pagan (the more horrific aspects of paganism have seen to that), but there are things we can learn from our pagan brothers and sisters. Thank God paganism was pushed back. But I'm also grateful that we can study it, especially the not-so-repugnant aspects, because the mythology is fascinating. Jimmy Akin's podcast is devoted to exploring weird phenomenon like this from the perspectives of the faith reason and he said in one episode about kabbala that we can and should respectfully learn from each other. We may not agree on everything, but we can have enriching dialogue. If anyone is interested in Norse mythology and the Old Norse language, I'd recommend Dr. Jackson Crawford. He has a KZfaq channel about that stuff from a purely academic and scholarly perspective. I'd also recommend the website Ancient Origins, which also has a section dedicated to mythology. Again, the website looks at stuff from a intellectual and scholarly point of view. The website is about understanding the past from a scholarly/intellectual perspective.

Excellent, the algorithms have done their job this time. Subscribed to both your channels as I have a keen interest in both. I've been wanting to explore Christian theology more recently, with the emphasis on the esoteric rather than the exoteric organised side which I think leaves a lot to be desired. I've followed Bull-Hansen on and off for a number of years but have become progressively more irritated and annoyed by him. Perhaps I've just worked him out, and I have been one of those trolls in recent days I'm not too ashamed to say! He has clearly exploited the Viking image which is gaining traction amongst disenfranchised young white males. He postures like a wise learned monk, whilst taking 20 mins to make 3 salient points. But it's his greed which really gets me. He's obviously a millionaire with a savvy business brain but along with his ads and Patrion revenue, he's now scrounging on his live channel with 'super chats' donations. We're in quite dangerous and polarising times, and for a grifter like this to be potentially pushing naive young minds towards the likes of Asatru bugs the crap out of me. Excuse my rant and look forward to your continuing series Douglas!

I have noticed lately that he gets triggered when he simply hears the word "Christian", "Bible", "End Times" etc. He calls it rude when someone just mentions these words. If he had just ignored Christians, who are commenting on his life streams/channels, nobody would have ever noticed his "nervousness" regarding this subject. It's a pity because with many of his subjects I happen to agree with him (liberty, pl*ndemic etc.).

I agree, seem there is a blind eye for all the horror which was done in the name of GOD ! I also don’t think that nations who lost a war have a choice in anything…..so they could not have said they don’t want to become Christians as they would have been killed. Also there are lots of history of pedophilia and women abuse. I am Christian but once I learned about history and the corruption I stopped going to the church.

Did you know that Henrich Krammer, the writer of the “Maellus Maleficarum”, was censored by local Church authorities, and even the Magisterium were trying to prevent him from delivering his work? Did you know also that most Witch Hunts were more abundant in Germany, and Switzerland, followed by France, rather than Spain, Portugal, and Italy? And that also Spain was the first to doubt about the validity of Witch Trials and the death penalty? Which eventually led to the cease of all Witch Hunt in Catholic Europe?

In defense of Christians, witch burnings and the Inquisition never even got remotely close to what most people think they were, now I wish Christians had the same level of honesty as us about what pagans actually were like, and while I can't speak about Germans and Norse (they did quite a bit of tomfoolery in my country) my ancestors weren't the human sacrificing savages portrayed by Christians, and Christians do have a lot to amend for in their community before they go and judge pagans
