Yk i was diagnosed with social anxiety and I thought Komi can’t communicate is somewhat of a nice way to show the way some of us can’t talk, while my social anxiety isn’t like hers its nice to see it portrayed on point to others who have social anxiety like hers.

Komi also has something called “selective mutism”. It means you select to talk in front of certain people but not in public or not talk to others you don’t know, and even not talk to some of your family.

It makes me so happy to see the portrayal of autism in media, im autistic and it makes me feel represented and more understood, let alone less alone.

Komi is really sweet with how the show represents social anxiety. I absolutely love it. I’ve read up to date with the current manga and it never gets old and is very sweet. I recommend it.

I’m hoping that you will make a part 4 as there is a Cartoon Network show known as Craig of the Creek that has some of the best representation I think I’ve seen in children’s media. The characters I think you should include is Jackie/The Arm [deaf], and JP [Autistic/neurodivergent]. Unfortunately I barley ever see Craig of the Creek get any recognition, so I’d be absolutely delighted if you included them in your next video. ❤

Seeing you including handy makes me happy :) I would suggest some of the other HTF characters but most of them have like, mental disorders. But I’ll suggest them anyways Flippy has severe PTSD and anything that reminds him of war makes him start killing everyone. He could also have DID Lammy possibly has schizophrenia because she’s the only character that sees her “companion”, Mr. Pickels, as a living being and not a pickle. This is debated in the fandom though. Petunia has OCD and whenever she sees something dirty she goes into panic mode Russell suffers from some kind of insanity disorder (I’ve heard it’s hysteria but after some research it’s not a diagnosis in the US anymore. Not to mention that he’s also missing an eye, a hand, and both his legs. Flaky has an anxiety disorder (not sure which one but it’s definitely there) Nutty has a severe addiction to candy and just sugar as a whole. He could also have ADHD but I don’t agree with it that much. Lifty and Shifty have kleptomania and are always stealing everything Handy (the one in this this video) is also a bit of a sociopath. And finally Disco Bear has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. He’s always seen flirting with the female characters countless times despite them not being interested. I hope this helps! Edit: I accidentally missed an important one. The Mole is blind.

There's also Pit from Kid Icarus. He's a bit like Scootaloo except he's an angel and also a captain of Palutena's Royal guard. There's also Shinichi/Conan but I have no idea what disability he technically has. There's still some other disabled characters in Detective Conan though.

Recently in the Total Drama reboot they added a character with a prosthetic leg. His name is Zee and he is my one of my favorite characters. He is really cool and really chill.

There are some canon ones in the show Strange Hill High that i love!! Mitchell has ADHD Becky has GAD Samia is mute, missing an arm, has uneven legs, and a wheelchair user who uses a speech tablet to communicate And Templeton is very much implied to be autistic imo but its not confirmed!

Da Vinci even has an episode (Doggy Da Vinci) where she has an autistic breakdown.

1:24 HII, super bluey fan here to actually add onto this bit. Spoilers for the new episode, The Sign!! Brandy was actually shown to be pregnant! It wasn’t explicitly stated but she very clearly does have a baby bump, and Chili even rubs her belly in one bit in the background. We don’t know how she got pregnant. But we do know that Chili’s side of the family *seems* to have fertility issues! Chili went through a miscarriage before having Bluey. So, Brandy may not be completely infertile! But, she very well could’ve gone through some medical procedures, as some people have stated. I’ve forgotten what it’s called and how any of that works, so I can’t say much about it. Though, of course, this isn’t confirmed. It could be either one, but I just wanted to share it!
