Loved this movie as a 7 year old and still do today! Very nostalgic.

Love this film, a classic of my childhood! Rewatched it with my brother a couple of weeks ago and it still holds up for a movie from the 1970s. I’m sure I had some of those trading cards when I was younger 😊 think I also had a Maximilian and a STAR robot too. Tried to pick up a copy of the movie yesterday from HMV but they were sold out....

I still have Black Hole Wallpaper in my former playroom. It's got the Cygnus, Palomino, and Probe Ship on it.

I had the record read along book, the comic book, lots of the cards, and the lunch box. I still have all that stuff somewhere at my parents' house.

In Canada, some breakfast cereals came with "Black Hole"-related pencil-holders. There were four characters: B.O.B., V.I.N CENT, Robot, and Maxillian. And each character came in four colours: red, yellow, blue, and green. I wanted all of them, but it never worked out.

I remember getting the prize in the box of Shreddies at 2:53 when I was a kid. I later put it in my Easy-Bake oven and it melted. Lol

I think the original Old Bob figure is quite rare and valuable now. I have the models of Vincent and Maximillian and the original Vincent figures as well. I like this movie even though it was panned but it has a certain "feel" to it that I like.

I love the design of the robots! The model kits looks very cool!

The Black Hole was a fun film. I had the Maximilian robot figure as a kid and my friend had VINCENT. A number of the merch in this video was never released unfortunately.

That B.O.B. figure would be a fun mini for a sci-fi RPG.

Many reports say the Old BOB figure was never released in the US. I never saw the Humanoid or STAR figures so that's probably true for those two. I do destinctly remember seeing and wanting the Old BOB figure at Childrens Palace because he was all beat up and had red guns unstead of the white guns VINCENT had.

I had The Blackhole sheets and pillow cases as a kid but I never saw the movie.

I actually have quite a few of those items in my collection except for the prototype stuff like the Palomino playset and a few of the figures like the robot ones. They are pretty friggin expensive on eBay, especially the Humanoid figure, which I've seen go into the upper thousand dollar range.

I had a pillow sheet and matching bedspread with the cygnus.... hmmm... I wonder if it was authorized, or a pirated product....

Cute. Also crazy to imagine a company creating this much merchandise around a movie as dark and moody as The Black Hole. Still cute though.

movie fans really dislike this film. I am not sure why. you see much irrational hatred for this movie, but no rational explanation as to why. some films just get a bad reputation....

Mixed bag this movie was, but I'll give it points for the tension and sheer darkness!

I had a complete set of tge robots including old Bob. They were graded 80's. Sold the set...sad!

Can anyone help me. As a kid, must have been 1979/1980, I bought what looked like Vincent, on top of a spinning top. Vincent had a button on his head, and when pressed, the spinning top section would pop off, and spin, making a noise and lighting up. I remember buying it from London Selfridges. Was this merchandise from the film, or a rip off? I cant seem to find anything that resembles this, on the internet. If anyone knows, that would be grand. Unfortunately, this toy was thrown away long ago.

Wait, was this movie shot in 3D? Why the 3D glasses? Incidentally, now that Disney owns Star Wars, how cool would a Black Hole/Star Wars cross-over be? Or maybe Disney could come up w/a remake. The movie could definitely use one to correct the flaws it had.
