AYYY! I agree w/ the fact of pacing but as far as character relevancy, araki has been doing that w/ his characters since phantom blood. Having characters being introduced and quickly dying, characters not showing up for huge gaps in the story, he does that in order to give the main jojo (gappy in this part) more focus so we can get a main character that is fleshed our from personality to ability. Now yes mamazuku was only in the story for about 8 chapters and tbh I think he’s dead a lot of theorists are saying it’s another part of his ability but let’s face it he’s gunna use rai’s death to forward gappy’s development

And even then, he just plays it for jokes, which is fine by me.

Irene and Annakiss are about to get married in the alternate world, so yes Anasui is the intended love interest.

However, there's no build up, or literally any kind of relationship visible between Irene and Anakiss, so much so that it's just tacked on and left there. Jolyne and Anasui don't have anything resembling a romantic relationship, and since the actual one has no kind of foundation or detail, it seems as if Jolyne was just given a relationship instead of developing one. Not only that, but despite having the same souls, Irene and Anakiss aren't 100% the same person, so the specific dynamics of their relaltionship differ from the romance Jolyne and Anasui ostensibly could have had. It's essentially another romance altogether, so it shouldn't have any bearing on the main universe relationship. IF Anasui truly is meant to be the intended love interest, then Araki handled it with even less gusto then he does normally, which is to say not at all. Araki doesn't give a shit about romance in Jojo, instead focusing about selfless love between people and allies. All the romances among the characters he creates are usually just wrapped up as quickly as possible, and usually have no bearing on anything plot-relevant. But Jolyne, Anasui, Irene, and Anakiss don't even have THAT, so it leads me to believe that it's just added on just to display how radically different the counterpart's lives are, than any kind of closure on Jolyne and Anasui's "relationship".
