Hi Leslie, just rewatching some of my favorite older A Charming Abode videos to get some fresh ideas; this one is four years old and the last one was, I think, about the same . I also have some of my old flooring from several years ago and I love your idea of making a headboard. I am going to redo my grandson's bedroom as he is almost a teenager and this idea would be perfect for him also. I think I am going to take that idea a little further as well, as I was rewatching another ACA video where you trim out the mirrors in two of your bathrooms with fence cedar boards. I am going to see if I can do the same with the same flooring boards that I am going to use for the headboard. I know I am going to have to do something with the back so it doesn't reflect, but I'll figure that out. Thanks for the ideas.

Was the part of the bed frame that was screwed in to the board metal or wood? Asking because it appeared to easily drill into one another. Thinking I may try this with my king bed. Still haven’t a bed that I absolutely love and this could potentially be a good idea. I just want to find a speaker way than drilling into the bed frame in case I want to give away or sell in the future.

I know this is from quite a while ago, but one thought I had was that if you have a metal bedframe like that one, you could drill holes on either sides of the bars and use some heavy duty zip ties to attach to the metal headboard without having to drill into it as an alternative!
