Building a stand for your saltwater reef aquarium can be expensive and scary. On this episode, we'll show you how to save a bunch of money by building your own aquarium stand out of wood. Using freely available plans, you can make a sturdy stand that will fit your tank, your home and your budget! This wooden stand will be more than capable of holding your reef aquarium safely, and you'll have a bunch of money left over for corals and equipment!
This stand is part of the build for the new 120 gallon reef tank. Every step of the process is being documented and discussed on editions of T.J.'s Reef.

Aww...you have a boxer with a long tail! I am on boxer number 6. I am 43 and there were 2 in the house when I was born. Sorry. I have lost focus. End of video you point out your dog, (Brick? Did i hear that right?) and i am like awww...and almost forget to tell you...great video, very informative. I love the information about the foam. I have all this foam lying around and been looking for an excuse as to why I haven't gotten rid of it. Also I appreciate the link to Rocket Enginer and your reasons you stated for not having doors. One thing though...what was this about getting floor bars maybe? Also, Halloween is awesome. This year i set up a table and desperately asked any kid in costume walking by if they were trick or treating. They were so surprised we were giving candy out. Hope you had more trick or treaters...okay blah blah blah...now you know i followed through and watched your video

Thanks so much Monique! Brick (yup, that's his name!) is actually half pit bull and half bull dog. The reference to the floor was me advising people with a basement to 1. Make sure they put their tank perpendicular to their floor joists and 2. They may want to consider supplemental support under their tank. As far as Halloween, we had a ton of kids again this year (5 giant bags of candy!). Thanks again for watching!

@@tjsreef5223 my dog is actually a boxer cross. First cross as all others were pure bred. Brick quickly looked up and from what I thought i saw he looked like boxer face. Still adorable no matter what. What was the name of the extra support system you said. I can watch video again but it was a specific name for the joists I think. I am so happy and envious you had lots of trick or treaters. I was the pioneer for pumpkin carving events up here in Vancouver, BC
