She has great style and skills, but she's told me before she doesn't have interest in a KZfaq channel. Hence why I asked if I could feature some of her talents on mine 😊

Hey Mellissa/Christy, beautiful bench, one tip I could share after years of finish work with hardwoods is when your driving the screws into the pilot holes use some paraffin wax or bar soap on the threads of your screws, makes it a lot easier and if for any reason or other, disassembly can be easier too. I used this technique for nails as well, you'll notice the difference trust me on this.

Very talented gal and great craftsmanship. When driving screws into oak, a little beeswax on the threads does wonders. Candle wax should also work.

Good, informative video. Honestly even if someone doesn't use re-purposed oak trim for a bench, it's good to see how she decided to strip it at the beginning. Good wood so glad to see it used for something new!

Pretty excited!!! Also, congratulations on 100,000!!! I knew you were going places when I subbed before! Keep up the great work!!

You just can't say enough about DNA. Smart, energetic and attractive. Hopefully your sister will start her own channel. Placing the bench over the heat register is a good idea for when you're having hot chocolate on a cold winter's day.
