The most thorough video I've seen on fitting replacement covers and the results speak for themselves. Great video, thanks!

@DIYDan~ You did a great job! I am impressed with how nice your refinished seat looks! When you get ready to do the front seats, here's a tip that will maybe help you in the "Wrangling" process: After you apply the burlap to the surface and cut your 2" Foam to fit, spay the backside of the foam piece and the top side of the burlap fabric with your Aerosol Contact Cement, so that they will adhere to one another. This will hold the foam piece tightly in place, against the burlap base. It will make the "wrangling" step slightly easier. Another tip for the vinyl: If you are finding it difficult to stretch around corners or other spots, you can use a hair dryer to slightly warm up the vinyl to temporarily giving it a bit more stretch. It will not damage the integrity or appearance of the vinyl, just make it more cooperative as you work. You can also cut a slight curve at the four corners of your foam piece and it will give you a tiny bit more space when positioning the vinyl cover over it. This was a great DIY project and you really explained the process perfectly!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING! ~~Christy~~

Great video. Going to be a big help for me. Only thing is that I had to keep running to the bathroom to pee because of the running water! lol

This is exactly what I was looking for! I just busted down the seats for my '68 Impala to do exactly what you're doing. How much do you think you have invested with the seat covers and all of the other stuff to do the job? Thanks for the share! They look awesome!

Nice Video Dan! One question, do you know if 3inch foam will also work for this?
@f1190458 ай бұрын
I am not sure it is hard enough with two inch foam three might be pushing it.

Same process but the measurements will differ because the Monte is a hard top coupe and is a Chevy.
