Better get some DJI Stock if they keep up like this. Hasselblad hand held should be next. Don't change your formula. Just keep making it a little better every time until you can no longer out do yourself. LOL

@@HowToGuyChannel My biggest complaint is the tiny screen and if you are outside on a sunny say for get trying to use a phone. But then it's $500, a Sony or Lumix is in $2000 or more.

Thanks Steven, somtimes at least someone gets my Jokes .. Good to know :) That wide angle lens falls out the case pretty easy when its not on the camera, and the camera is not in the case. (just my opinion)

Hello Mark.. I love it, the only issue i see, the screen sometimes freezes, and i dunno.. Gets slow.. Don't know if that's cos i was shooting 4k all day.. Maybe we'll fix that using firmware soon

I love this pocket 2 I did a few reviews on it as well, I would say the wide angle lens does distort a little, it shows when you were on lovers walk. I recently bought the wide angle lens and filter package as well as the anamorphic Iens, this camera is so creative.

Awesome video! I was on the fence whether to buy the DJI Pocket 2 or purchase a gimbal for my A6300. I really like how compact this is VS how big and bulky the A6300/Gimbal combo would be. I am sold on this now after the review, love your sense of humor too...earned a new sub!!

Glad it was helpful! WakeParanormal, Its actually a great camera, they still need to sort out some firmware issues, but those come over time.. DJI seems to release things that need a little attention , but they releases fixes over time.. Thanks so much for watching, the a6300 is also great, I have had my a6400 for years..

You’re on point on everything mentioned in this video. The engineers at DJI have really sat and thought out all the niggles of the OP and made improvements that matter yet keeping the original form. I can’t think of an easier way to design the clip-on feature of the Do-It-All handle as nobody wants a easily slip on handle that does not feel confidently secure. Yes, it took a while to figure how to release the handle without breaking your thumbnail, but I like it so much that I’ll be leaving it on all the time - as you said, it’s still very pocketable😊 I didn’t know how to use the on-screen zoom control, now I know, thanks to you🤪 Have you tried Motion timelapse using any of the newly added 0.5sec and 1.0sec intervals? My gimbal jerks like crazy during the 5 mins of the timelapse yet the final output looks normal and smooth. DJI claims that it’s normal, but I find it attracts attention when you want it to be unnoticed whilst taking the timelapse in a public area. The jerky movement is not there at the other longer intervals. Happy to be a new subscriber👍👍😊🇨🇦 PS: Happy birthday mate🥳

Hey Philip, very nice comment, apologies if I dont address everything you write, but others will learn from your comment. The handle is for sure Tight, and less tight lately, so hope it stays on in future, or we will be duct taping it.. I have not tested the timelapse really, I did notice that Jerk when I did my timelapse, Im sure DJI will improve things / bugs as we go (they usually do) ... My devise also seemed to overheat a little and the menu became slow.. Not sure if thats from shooting 4k all day ? Will see how it goes ... thanks for Subbing 😃😂.. and hope to see your thoughts on future videos

I have found the wireless Bluetooth base comes off easier if something is screwed into the bottom of it, so that one may use that as leverage. Made a big difference for me! Thanks, cheers.

Great review. I am enjoying mine as well and you hit on the points that I find are really good about it. Regarding the motionlapse/timelapse, it is annoying that the video that it produces is only 1080p, but if you switch to Pro mode, one of the options is to include RAW or jpeg along with the video. I take the RAW, process them, import as an image sequence, scale to 4K, and the results are stellar.

Great to hear! My Osmo Pocket 2 has been giving me some issues since I did this video, but I think its just mine, nothing too serious, I think it might have some overheating and the menu does some weird things (just mine) .. so Im sure yours will be ok

Hey HowToGuy, watched the video on the big screen, the Pocket 2 looks fabulous👍🏻 Knowing that the Pocket 1 ISO range is really topped out at 800, I’m curious to see how the P2 looks at ISO 1600 at golden hour outdoors and daytime indoors. Mostly interested in the indoor footage without a person in the frame. Mainly for the purpose of home tours. Great vid as always😊

Hey 24 Rooter, this video is still processing in 4k.. lololo... It taking like a day to upload, its 13 Gig.. so maybe watch some parts later, and see if it is better looking, Its processed the 1080p already, so its annoying I thought people would be able to watch in 4k but it takes time to compress on KZfaq. The Iso range is better, I will slot in your indoor test of my house on the next video if I can, see how it looks , hopefully less noisy

The Zv1 is also very good, you would be happy with that camera too, it will also look alot sharper than Osmo Pocket 2, its a bigger camera

Fingers crossed You get to go to Spain.. surely it will be fine by then :) Thanks, I didnt talk about the negatives today, I have had some slow response on the screen, and perhaps because I was shooting 4k all day.. could probably be a firmware fix coming for that, Im sure im not the only one to have it slow down and become a little dodgy. Thats the only issue I had

Hey Emmanuel, you need to download the dji mimo app.. Then you turn on wifi and Bluetooth on your phone.. Turn on the app, and it should find your pocket.. The pocket needs to be on, and have do it all handle.. Happy Birthday

Hello Dana.. Thanks so much, those are native to davinci resolve, so your can easily add those effects into your videos, i didn't make them very long on purpose because people skip videos when they see visual cues.. Not everybody, but some will simply skip using the timeline to find them.. So i dunno.. I'm torn between helping the people and stopping the skippers 😂😂 it affects your watch time slightly

@@HowToGuyChannel they were short enough, only a few seconds but just enough to illustrate what you were describing at that point. It works when you're doing a tutorial or demonstrating a point. If someone doesn't like it then the video wasn't for their purpose then.

Great video, especially like the part where you went behind the pole and back again as that's been an issue for me...your video makes me regret not getting the full creator package, that audio is great and being able to control from a distance with your phone! You really went all out with the various tests at different locations and thanks for more voice over guy!! Would have been funny if he came in when you were looking for your wide angle lens - hey, you already lost that thing, you know that's $50 down the drain, right - well guess there is another happy birthday for you - glad you found the lens although you know a knock off is only like $10 :-) So glad it's worth it when you get something like this, right?!!

Wyatt, I left your reply till last.. Sorry for delay :) Listen , you can always pickup the Kit also (I would highly recommend it) ...Im trying to get the Voice over guy in more, he often is lazy , but in future I will incorporate him in at least 15 percent of the time (you helping in a small way make the channel better, so thanks) Im not sure if the knock off lens is going to be as good as the real thing, but maybe FreeWell make something good, I used to use FreeWell for Osmo 1 and there was too much vingetting.. but this one looks very good out the box.. This video is being processed in 4k, so maybe check some of the footage again later :)

@@HowToGuyChannel Ha, no worries on the voice over guy, if some funny moments make it in great otherwise maybe it will get to be too much work! You did a lot on this last one with several locations...yeah I have another video coming out with an alternative to the wide angle lens that's in my book more versatile...and spending my savings on some ND filters and lav mic recording options - I am still a firm believer in those over wireless but the wireless is cool...btw I was inspired by your fake drone with a long pole video but my initial setup was less than stellar. :-)

No its Not too much work :) You not wrong, he needs to be more in the videos :) I depends on the videos, sometimes I dont use him at all, but technically every video could have him talk. Im a big fan of the wireless stuff, but thats just because it fits my style more, always willing to try new lens options :) thanks for your insights, and taking time to write a comment

Awesome review mate! I got mine last week and it just wouldn't connect to my phone or any other phone for that matter. So I took it to the DJI Melbourne service center and they couldn't fix it so decided to send me a replacement. So looking forward to using this as a vlogging camera:)

Thanks for sharing, thants annoying, I have had some weird issues where the screen sort of freezes, when swiping.. Im hoping a firmware update will fix those issues, but also I was shooting 4k all day, which in my view is too much trouble when it takes a day to upload to KZfaq.. Its a good vlog camera .. 100 percent

@@HowToGuyChannel Yes without having NBN uploading 4K video would be an absolute nightmare. I got NBN last year and having 40mbs upload speed has been a game-changer. By the way, where are you located? Is it Brisbane by any chance?

Wished that I knew there was a DJI service centre in Melbourne that I could bring in to for someone to check it out. The one in Brisbane was just a store/showroom that I went to at the Indooroopilly. Better Mankind I was having problems connecting the WiFi with my iPad and iPhone 8 till I updated the Mimo app. Now the connection is flawless and much quicker than with OP and it’s Wireless module. Also, the file transfer is now 2x faster👍😊

I was thinking of buying a LUMIX G7 for a beginner camera, but a person from a camera shop recommended me this one for filmmaking sadly not photography, but I feel more inclined for filmmaking than photography, problem is what to film? This VIDEO HELPED ME SO MUCH! You deserve so much more love man! I was kinda already hooked, now I’m fully hooked!

Hey TeaGaming, thanks for the nice and positive comment.. Always good to get feedback.. I use Sony as my main talking head tripod stuff.. But the Pocket 2 is excellent as a vlog camera and cinematic film tool to use around towm.. It often looks better than my sony for some weird reason that makes no sense

Hiya ..!!! I like a lot some of the new features of the OP2 , specially the new increased FOV , provided by the attaching lens , you did an excellent job at the FOV comparatives pointing at the space in the tree and the sea view of the fence …it showed clearly the increase. Also the sound …excellent quality …!!! although the sound is a bit irrelevant for my application . Just as an idea …¿¿ Have you tried the Autofocus ?? I mean does still “ hunt “…?? .. I good trial will be a long pan from , say right to left , and see if still has that nasty hunting anywhere during the pan…do that pan at different speeds ??? and see what is focus . Also about the wide lens attachment ¿¿¿ Does it work in the old OP1 ??...have you tried ? . Any how mate ..well done ..!!! unfortunately I already have invested in the OP 1 , and the new OP2 will be nice to have BUT …nooo…I will wait for the OP3 I think ??? maybe DJI will see the light and get that 1 inch Hasselblad cam onto it ..!!! jejejeje..OR ?? who knows they might re-lunch the old original OSMO with it . If they did …you will have to spend more money …jejejeje...but in that case I would too for sure. Kind regards . Chhheeerrrsss…!!!

Hey Ramon, thanks for the nice Long comment, Im not sure I will answer everything, I have had issues on Pocket 2, sometimes in High qality mode (Not really worth using) ...it overheats and the menu freeze, or struggles to swipe. Hopefully its just a firmware fix on the way. The Sounds and Mic, and handle are all good, and worth the Upgrade (but best not to use High quality mode , rather Battery saver mode, since that does not have issues for me) I have not tested Auto focus hunting, will have to look more into that, Im not much of a pixel peeper, but will look into it for you :) You have some good ideas for tests. I havent tried wide angle on Osmo 1, good idea again.. OP3 will obviously be good, but who knows when that would come.. I would love FreeWell lens

@@HowToGuyChannel I have the FreeWell Wide Angle lens and it distorts around the corners ..!! which is exactly how to messure the quality of a wide angle ...any wide angle . I have seen your other video ...explaining your issues with the OP2 . have left you a comment there too. Keep up the good work mate ....I will not upgrade to OP2 since sound is irrelevant for me .I have a Zoom H2 and a lapel mic...and sound rec. is great there . I need VIDEO QUALITY in the smallest possible package ..affraid OP2 is not it...😥 Cheeerrrsss...!!!!

Happy Birthday mate. Lucky you found your wide angle lens. The Pocket still looks just like the Osmo Pocket to me with only minor upgrades. I have never been a fan of the filter system on the pocket(s). But hey, another camera to get more angles to shorten the amount of takes for a video is good. You sold me on the Sony A6400 with the Sigma 16 mm f1.4. Pitty Im a (Cripple Hammer) Canon guy. I think I am just over all things Apple, I mean DJI. XD

I think its still better than Osmo Pocket 1.. maninly because Osmo Pocket 1 had too many adapters out of the box, and this comes with your WIFI and Mic , and Handle, Tripod, and Sound listening capabilities, that makes a big difference when you out in the field vlogging , or filming something (at least for my style of videos) The a6400 is my other travel cam, or the Sony a6600, that Sigma is good, I dont think I could honestly buy a Canon and keep a straight face, i leave that to Peter McCannon

Got my eye on the Freewell ALD ND filters but can’t find any info on whether they are compatible with the P2. Keep up the great work! 🤙

I must say Pocket 2 has been a little buggy for me the last two days, trying to figure it out.. Menu seems very slow, on the day I made that video, it was fine.. I dont know, perhaps firmware update is required to fix some bugs

Awesome, thank you robert! If you connect your phone via the Do it all handle + Mimo app you dont need any cable / adapters, if you use the little adapters that plug into your Phone, its pretty flush against the pocket 2, but you get cages that allows you to hold the phone next to the Pocket 2 and that takes alot of stress off the connection (I have not tested these)..but I think its FreeWell and a few other places... thanks for watching the channel, appreciated !

Thanks for your video. I didn't bought it yet. What I noticed...the face focus of your Sony is so much better. I am still not sure if the vlogging/face focus of the version 2 is better than version 1. And another question, can you leave the wide angle lense on the pocket when you turn of the camera?

Hello Claus.. You can leave it on.. But i wouldn't recommend that, if you bump it off or it falls out your pocket, its going to suck.. I take mine off.. Even though those magnets are strong

Testing mine since it arrived y'day. One remark: clip-on wide angle lens makes the gimbal tremble sometimes. Have to investigate as it seems reoccuring regularly. Apart of that I'm quite impressed, as a first time user that is. (no experience whatsoever with gimbals for camera, only with gyro's on navigation instruments.)

Hello Jay-P.. I have had some odd issues myself on the Menu, and being Unresponsive sometimes... DJI will hopefully fix all the bugs with Firmware updates along the way :) thanks for your comment and watching this channel
