I was dating a narcissist for 3 months … everything was so perfect … then bam ! He suddenly did a turn and started behaving completely different. I saw very quickly that something was wrong … I called him out on his behavior and he immediately bailed on the relationship, instantly! It’s been 5 weeks and I’ve heard nothing from him. I’m hoping he will leave me alone. I don’t want to deal with him again. So hurtful.

@rebeccaconn389 you did the right thing please stay away from him. I think he wants to see how much you care and if you reach out. So trying to control you by silence. You deserve so much better. There will come a better person for you.

Narcissist do believe they walk on water. Even when they do learn that they have done hurtful toxic things to a person, they play it off as they didn’t do anything wrong and differ from it and shift blame on you. I know in my heart what is and what was wrong VS right, and I strongly believe in karma too.

Karma takes too long.. 4 years later and I’m the one getting karma like I did something wrong makes no sense 😭

When you respond (verbal or nonverbal/gray rock) to the outrageous acts of a narcissist it says to them you still need them in your life. It does not matter how you respond they will still target you. If you were involved in a plane crash and was in a coma, but miraculously survived and extensive surgery was required for you to recover in a somewhat functioning state the narcissist will continue to think there life is worse than yours eventhough you almost died or you were kidnapped and left for dead the narcissist will continue to feel that your experience is nothing compared to their life experiences. They incessantly talk about their experiences that has impacted their life without really giving any thought or credance (as they careless) to the life changing event you experienced. This is their attempt to get attention and brainwash you in the hopes you truly feel their life circumstances were alot worse than yours eventhough death was knocking at your door as they never experienced a death knocking at the door situation.

I was S told early on while pulling myself away from him. I knew enough NOT WANT TO. Move further with him. He felt it before I even told him. He tells me , if I leave. I am Gonna come back and he is then going to treat me real bad he said he is going to dog me… . I told him who leaves a person like YOU to come back. NOT I. . I Sen him 1 time since and acted like I never knew him. PEROID. OH THEY KNOW What they do..,,

Ask my soon to be covert nex and he will tell you everything is my fault. Even after I told him I did not want to continue in the marriage, it was not working, he showed no emotion, but insisted that it was my fault because I am never willing to talk (really?), but he was the one wanting to save our marriage, no he forced a reverse discard because he knows I know. Talking always got me into more trouble. The more I tried to talk to him about the things he did not did not do that hurt me, things always got worse. He knew my every weakness and went about doing everything he could to make me feel completely unloved and small. Fortunately, it just sent me to Jesus for comfort, so I will survive. He is 64 y/o it is not likely he will ever become self-aware. He just keeps running from one relationship to the next, causing a lot of pain in his wake.

The Narc I bonded to knew she is toxic sĥe even explicitly said that. I stupidly misread her saying that as her being coy and calling me toxic. I just couldn't see it, until I did too late and by then it was too late. I like the boiling lobster analogy.

No siree Joe! It is never their fault. They grew up in an environment where they were physically, emotionally and even sexually abused by friends and family. They were never taught lifeskill lessons and they feel that since nobody apologized to them, why should they apologize to you.
