This dollar store paint pour has been on my "to-do" list for so long! I got the supplies awhile ago, and just haven't had the time since to film it. I went with warm colors because I always do cooler colors ;) I also love the way warm colors look in tree ring paint pours.

It did! So the colors got a lot more intense and darker. They turned out really nicely! I posted a photo of this to my Instagram account if you would like to see it dry: instagram.com/p/B9KoYwSHPcq/

It weird as when u use pva glue it got tendency to go lighter on the colours that's why floetrol/owatrol it's good to use as it keep the colours very intense but looks very good 👍

Looks good. I think the colors stayed vivid. This surprised me as it was dollar store colors. It will interesting to see if the colors stay as vivid. Thanks for the video.

I always start with paint, glue then water. That order is much easier for me.

Hi. I am senior citizen and have started paint pouring after my husband passed. On a limited budget I am so happy to see such great results with dollar tree products. I have recently started pouring on vases. Could you do a video on that?❤️👍🏻

Wow!! Beautiful!! I'm checking out the pouring technique, I just got paints from $ store. Can you use just Elmer's glue, instead of tacky glue?

I haven't done it but I have heard of people using Elmer's Glue-All! I imagine it would work :)

Well, this is really nice, but this is not what I was looking for. I wanted to know how this paint dries and lasts on a landscape painting. Trees, flowers, water the like. Thanks for the tutorial. Good show, well done to you for your efforts.

I’m a new lover of paint pouring. I have yet to try it myself but I want to soon. I’m a little nervous about it. I’ve been watching some videos. I love the colors you choose. Any advice for a first timer? ❤

Thank you so much! When I was first beginning, I watched a lot of other people and I think it helped me get an idea for the consistency of the paint. This video shows how I mix my paint: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m5iad7h3v9DGc30.html . I also always recommend people start by picking similar colors/colors that mix well together when they're just beginning. That way if your paint is too thin or you mix them together too much, you won't get mud. Some easy places to start are yellow/red/orange or blue/green/yellow or blue/purple/red plus either white or black for contrast. And just keep asking questions! Try to have fun, and give yourself space to make mistakes.

Isn't the dry one so much fun?? I hadn't even varnished it yet! I wonder if it's a combination of the glue and the type of paint that made it so shiny?

Wow! That turned out beautiful!! BEGINNER HERE 🙋‍♀️ I JUST made my first "pour painting" yesterday, 6/7/22. I also used all Dollar Tree products! And I posted my first attempt video on my Channel. 👏😬🤭😀 BUT I didn't do enough research first and so I didn't add Floetrol, glue, water, NOTHING!! LOL So my paint was really not wanting to flow! But, hey, at least I jumped in and tried! I'm waiting for my Floetrol to arrive from Amazon... but now that I watched your video, I'm wondering if I have some of that Dollar Tree tacky glue in my art drawer...🤔 Thanks for sharing your video! I'm excited to try your "Tree Ring" technique! Happy Painting!!

Thank you so much! Yay for starting!! You're right, the hardest part is trying, learning and adapting is just part of the process. I love using Floetrol, but it would be so fun if you have the tacky glue around to try in the meantime!

@@ArtbyBrooke So weird, I thought I came back here to say that, YES, I had Tacky Glue in my craft drawer and YES I tried this on 6/8/22. But mine was a total fail! 😆😆 My paint texture was way different than yours! I'm adding a link to your video in my description box since I mentioned your video was what inspired me. 👍 (I see what happened... You had TWO great videos, so I had remembered to link one, but forgot to link this one. Mystery solved and both are now linked. 👍) Edit - I also thought that I had subscribed, but apparently that hadn't been done either! I'm all over the place like a kid in a candy store!! 😅 That has been rectified also. You are very calm, through, and informative! Great video!

@@ArtbyBrooke You're welcome. We gotta please the KZfaq Algorithm!! 😂 Yes, I have been all over the place and totally obsessed with learning and doing this acrylic pouring!! Lol I just did another painting today and posted the video on my Channel! So excited for my next ones though! I mixed the paints tonight and I'm going to let them sit. I'm hoping that helps with alleviating bubbles...

Yes that's one way to alleviate some bubbles! Also tapping the cup gently against your table can help too (like holding the cup in your hand and gently tapping the bottom straight down several times, just be careful not to shake it).

Hi! This was a test to see how it would react :) Here is a video of the results: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qN-FdJmWuNi7kmg.html The reason I tested glue is for pour painting, you usually need to thin out your paint with some sort of pouring medium. I usually use Floetrol (you can see how I mix my paint in this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m5iad7h3v9DGc30.html ) but wanted to see if I could do a pour using dollar store materials. If you don't use any pouring medium, likely you won't be able to make the paint flow across the canvas, and there may be issues with it drying if the paint is too thick.

Thank you for the suggestion! These actually are shot glasses (if you look at the packaging at the beginning you can see it) but I'm sure ones from other places can be smoother. I just went with what I could get at the dollar store where I was shopping :) I was trying to get the most "bang for my buck".
