That should not be a surprise. Baron Lloyd-Webber and Brightman were married from 1984-90, and several of his works were written specifically for her to sing (most notably Christine in Phantom).

I watched the play "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" at the Music Hall in San Gabriel City, Los Angeles, CA probably 20 years ago. It was a wonderful performance I've never seen!!

surely one of the best female voalists ever. what a joy she has brought to us. bringing classical music to the mainstream audiences is her claim to fame, in my opinion. what a treasure. have loved her ever since she walked onto top of the pops with 'starship trouper' then followed her through her small walk on parts such as cats, wow what a voice i said to myself when she played one of the cats and to my surprise saw that it was one of the girls from hot gossip. then she transcended to a whole different level, for me, with her classical style. what a talent. what a joy.

Non so perché ogni volta che ascolto questa canzone non posso fare a meno di versare parecchie lacrime . E dire che non sono argentino ma italiano. Forse perché mi fa venire in mento il momento oscuro di questo paese particolare , forse più italiano che altro. La musica sembra che parli, che racconti la storia orrenda di questo paese che non conosco ma che sento istintivamente di amare.
