When I think about how wet and swampy that area was, I am amazed. What a transformation.

It must just be so satisfying having turned it from a swampy nightmare to a lovely start of a fruit orchard.

@4:00 you said, “It is amazing how hard this ground gets when it dries out.” I was stationed at Ft. Bragg in the 80s, and I (and my entrenching tool) can confirm that comment.

Caution Chris!!! When you start to burn, stay away from the soot in the air. Bamboo can be deadly when it is burning. The embers are like fiberglass splinters.

I would bet the air filters on those machines must close to clogged. That dust is really fine and with the roots being full it’s like working in a dust storm. Nice job Chris.

This job with all the undergrowth and rows of dirt is basically how land clearing is up here in Saskatchewan Canada. We are all farmland and back in the day the discers would throw a ridge of dirt because they're always scooping the dirt one direction. And then it gets too wet they cant seed it then the trees start growing in the ridges and then a new ridge starts. I've done 4 days on this job it's quite frustrating.

Nice Job Chris!! So glad to see you don’t “cowboy up” and burn anyways. When I was Ranching and volunteer fireman, you would get one big fire from a fool that thinks they needed to “cowboy up and have a fiare!!!” Seeing as we were in the foothills of the mountains you can imagine how serious a fire like that can be. We also get huge winds! You have so much bus country there. It’s just not worth it. Thanks good sir!! Looks like there’s a bunch of bentonite in there maybe?? That stuff is like concrete to dig or disc up when it’s dry and turns to powder, but when it’s wet, it can be worse than pure ice!! Horrible crap, doesn’t drain worth a d*mn either! Stay safe there, Eh!
