People underrate Shericka’s evolution. She’s at worst the top 3 best 100m runners in the world. 2023 was also a 10.65 ran by Shericka, she just couldn’t see ShaCarri to kick. She’s the strongest all around sprinter available, with great endurance. I think Julien Alfred is a major dark horse for both events this year, having run 22.0 and 10.77.

9.6s seems a bit of a stretch. I definitely see him running sub 9.75s though. He also didn't shut it down at 60/70m. He let up slightly 10m out at best. The way KT ran his 9.77s surely looked impressive, though. Barring some injury or choking at the finals, KT is definitely winning Gold in Paris, and I don't think he is choking. High Schooler Christian Miller has confirmed on social media that he's not in the US 4x1 relay pool, looks like Lindsey/King/PJ Austin who all went to World Relays will go instead in addition to Noah/Kenny/Fred/Knighton. This is now 2 Champs in a row where Noah Lyles has failed to run sub 19.5s in the 200m Final after running 3 100m rounds in the same Champs! Would be interesting to see what would happen if someone like Letsile Tebogo (19.50 PB) only ran the 200m at the same Champs that Noah's running both the 100/200m in! Sha'Carri not being able to run quicker than a wind-legal 21.92 (0.1) 200m PB is interesting given that Shelly who's a similar height & has a 10.60 PB to Sha'Carri's 10.65 PB has run 21.79 (0.8), 21.81 (0.6) & 21.82 (-0.1). Could well be CAN's best ever group of T&F Athletes; Andre De Grasse, Christopher Morales-Williams, Marco Arop, Sarah Mitton, Camryn Rogers, Ethan Katzberg, Alysha Newman, Savannah Sutherland, Audrey Leduc, Pierce LePage, Damian Warner, Mo Ahmed, Aaron Brown, Lucia Stafford, Lauren Gale, Zoe Sherar, Ceili McCabe, Jean-Simon Desgagnes, M4x1 & W4x4 Teams!

It's odd how Tia has been so dominant over Tina. One wonders if she was favored by her caretakers or was she more dominant in her nurture at meal time? Noah Lyles is faster than his brother Josephus despite being smaller.

Shericka looks way off the paced compared to last year. Shacari beat her multiple times last year and ran 10.65 in the WC. AND she ran an easy 10.71 while slowing down at trials. She's probably in 10.5 shape and proved last year she has superior top end 100 speed to Jackson.

That "only 3 million people" is the DUMBEST argument ever. Jamaica has such a tiny tiny scope when it comes to athletics. Mostly focusing on six events..all of them short sprints. They've yet to produce competitive middle distance or long distance runners. An unserious argument.
@acetofresh1

Idiotic jingoistic take. Tarees Rhoden, Natoya Goule, Navasky Anderson beg to differ? Adelle Tracey who was in the 2023 800 final and 1500 semi? In 2023 Jamaicans won the female and male high jump in the NCAA circuit, and we have several elite people in the jumps? Sounds like you don’t have a clue. Tons of clear ethnic Jamaicans were winning for GB in other events, ever heard of Tessa Sanderson? Don’t hate, Donovan is absolutely correct. A small poor nation rife with corruption, disproportionately produces success in the sport, with their athletes having little funding compared to most of their peers.

Your argument is fundamentally flawed and reveals a lack of understanding of both athletics and population dynamics. Jamaica, with its population of approximately 3 million, consistently outperforms many larger countries in athletics, particularly in the Olympics. Consider this: Jamaica has won a total of 88 Olympic medals, with 87 of them in athletics. This is a staggering achievement when you realize that countries with significantly larger populations, such as India with over 1.4 billion people, have only won 35 Olympic medals in total. Your claim that Jamaica has a "tiny tiny scope" when it comes to athletics is shortsighted. While it’s true that Jamaica excels in short sprints, it also has commendable achievements in middle-distance and field events: 1. Kenia Sinclair- A notable middle-distance runner who has represented Jamaica in the 800m. She finished 6th in the 2005 World Championships and 6th again in the 2008 Olympics. Her personal best of 1:57.88 in the 800m is one of the fastest times ever by a Jamaican. 2. Natoya Goule- Another middle-distance standout, Goule has consistently been in the top 8 at major international competitions. She finished 6th in the 800m at the 2019 World Championships and 8th at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. 3. Trecia-Kaye Smith - An accomplished triple jumper, Smith won gold at the 2005 World Championships and has multiple top-8 finishes in international competitions, including a 4th place finish at the 2004 Olympics. 4. Kimberly Williams - A triple jumper who has placed in the top 8 in numerous international events, including a 6th place finish at the 2016 Olympics and 4th place at the 2018 World Indoor Championships. 5. O'Dayne Richards - A shot putter who won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships and has multiple top-8 finishes in Commonwealth Games and Pan American Games. 6. Tajay Gayle - A long jumper who won gold at the 2019 World Championships with a jump of 8.69 meters, setting a personal best and national record. He also competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, finishing 11th despite an injury. 7. Fedrick Dacres - A discus thrower who won a silver medal at the 2019 World Championships and gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He consistently ranks among the world's best, with multiple top-8 finishes in international competitions. Claiming that focusing on six events diminishes their achievements is shortsighted. The prowess required to dominate the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay consistently over decades demonstrates exceptional talent and training. As for middle and long-distance events, the specialization in sprinting doesn’t invalidate their achievements. In fact, their ability to excel in these specific areas highlights an efficient use of their limited resources, something many larger nations fail to achieve across multiple disciplines. In short, dismissing Jamaica's success due to its population size is not only ignorant but also a poor reflection of the remarkable accomplishments of its athletes. Their excellence in sprinting and commendable performances in middle-distance and field events are a testament to their dedication, training, and natural talent.

@KuvukiTv 👍🏽Thumbs up for taking the time to present this statement of facts. I don’t have the patience. Only nations big or small that have taken part in numerous olympics, with little or no medal tally, can truely appreciate Jamaica’s achievement at the olympics. 🤓The President of India, on his visit to Jamaica in a speech compliments Jamaica for their achievement. and said they’re😂jealous🤣. [in short] The USA with its humongous tally of medals, from a wide variety of disciplines cannot see the greatness in JA’s achievement because they will alway OVERLOOK the vast difference in population. 🧐India has made this comparison and therefore, INDIA CAN TRUELY APPRECIATE JAMAICA’s ACHIEVEMENT,
