Yeah, what a great run! I completely agree that this map is the hardest so far. The length makes it way worse, plus the fact that the horrible secret is at the very end... it's just so easy for the pain elemental to not cooperate and waste 10 minutes of your time. And wow... thank you so much for the unexpected shoutout at the end, it caught me completely off guard. I can't describe how it made me feel, but my face was beaming throughout the whole outro. First because you pulled off the run, then because of the awesome things you said. I wouldn't have started playing this category if it wasn't for you showing how fun it is (plus NERF of course!)

Pre-firing the BFG to kill the Baron and then walking in to the Pain Elemental to stop the Lost Souls from spawning was pure art.

Now this isn't just a regular playthrough, but a real work of art. Well done! So, what can we say about this level... Beside the infamous Pain Elemental secret, this map is also known for receiving one very peculiar change in Doom 2's first update (ver 1.7) - one zombieman was removed from the northern half of the map (he was located very close to Decino's position in 2:40). No one knows why. But I suppose this counts as a good thing when playing on Nightmare.

Decino is truly going on a tear with this challenge. This is historic.

@8:35 -- As referenced in "Explosions 💥", there is no vertical limit for rocket splash damage! Also remember that explosions are square shaped in the Doom World, NOT spherical or even cylindrical.

Wow, huge props for going for the broken secret too, even after all those tomatoes respawned.

This came out much faster than I expected, and with an incredibly smooth run to boot! Also I never expected to learn a few more things I didn't know in a single vid (0:22, 2:55, 6:32). Really nice to have this to watch at the end of day.

Decino (or Doomguy) lives in a strange world where a giant flying head that spits fireballs might or might *not* "do something weird".

I played the 4 original wads on UV co-op not too long ago. The added cyber demon on a pistol start could make this even more insane.

Another nerve-wrecking ending! I like that! Plus I really admire this level. It is one of the most complex Doom2 levels.

great job! I replayed this level on UV not too long ago and it's a tough level in general. lots of chip damage plus those random traps like the hell knight in the pit. funny when you're luring the pain elemental like it's a pet. "here boy!"

I do like Industrial Zone within the city levels (which unfortunately the part where I drop Doom 2 bc it's draggy and didn't date well) maybe it's the layout and Running from Evil being reused in this Map (I heard the latter third is worse but I didn't get that far, I must put myself to complete Doom 2 fully someday) Good luck with the second half and secret levels Decino

Amazing run! This was my favorite level when I was a kid, and I think the reason is what you said: It is ridiculous big with lots of stuff to explore plus the awesome midi.

Thank you Decino for another stunning video. The thing that makes my teeth itch, though, is that, although you have an enemy kill count that is higher than the number of enemies, you don't actually have 100% of all of the monsters killed, as some of them are counted more than once due to respawns. I don't think it's possible for doom to count the number of monsters killed that were placed by the map maker?

This one, like many other maps, just gets better with multiplayer to get your daily cyber demon.
