Given I, as a spectator, didn't know what was coming either, I was convinced you'd done the hard work during the blind run, only to have victory snatched away from you. As other people and myself have pointed out before, you do remain remarkably calm in such moments. Either that or you have a really soft and silent pillow to punch nearby.

I noticed Decino say " Infight me, infight me " at 22:55 of this video, which just confirms that he isn't human. That was a really nice blind run, a proper emotional rollercoaster all the way to the end.

You know, I've been re-watching the Doom II playthrough, and I'm realizing wads like this made me forget how rare Archies actually are in Doom II.

You were 1 megasphere away to succeed in your blind run, but you opted for a sneakpeak into the archvile closet instead ;)

I remember seeing someone comment that they thought pistol start was cheating because you started with full health and I thought that was the dumbest thing I'd ever read at the time. I guess it actually is (barely) possible for it to be an advantage though!

Mu Cephei is one of the biggest and brightest stars known, close to its end since it's already burning Helium instead of Carbon: naming a doom level with demons and death may remind that even stars are not eternal :( on a sidenote, it's my birthday today so thanks for this amazing video😃

I get on the edge of my seat when watching the blind runs. This level was almost a success and thought you would clutch the win. The music reminds me of Starfox 64 in a slightly darker tone.

Me when I see the notification *rapidly clicks* Jokes aside, i now know why Sunlust is called visually interesting due to this map. Something about the colour pallette and design really relaxes the mind. (edit: first?)

I think i figured out why "old Doom" is so much better to watch you play than Doom Eternal. **Being confined to the ground with only one angle of viewing.** It makes it so much easier to feel like we are a part of the battle. I flinch about a 1000 times more watching these videos than when I watch you play Doom Eternal. It's like in this game, you turn around and "Oh crap!" A baron is in your face ready to pounce! Or an enemy is right next to you tapping you on the shoulder "Hello Son!", or a rocket is inches away from blowing off your skull cap! On top of it being so much easier to simply see what is going on, in some ways, I feel like we can anticipate your next moves with you instead of simply being along for the ride. With Doom Eternal its like watching a tweaked out wasp on speed floating around trying to sting people at random before they spray it with RAID. (Interesting to watch, but I have no reality to associate with the experience.)

That was an awesome first try! I feel like such a chump watching you play. Really enjoying your videos and starting them off doing blind runs makes them even more entertaining. Looking forward to "God Machine" (fml). You also had me hyped when you said you planned on playing "Valiant" since Skillsaw is probably my favorite mapper. I'm going to play along just to reassure myself of how much I suck at Doom..

I Like how some of the cyberdemons are treated like missile turrets in this level.

Not gonna lie, it would take me months (maybe a couple of years even) of non-stop practice just to be as good as you are in your blinds runs. That was truly amazing, despite the fact that you ultimately died, it still puts most players to shame. Thank you so much for adding them in your videos.

personally I never imagined enjoying a wad like this (up to this point, because I still havent finished this wad) but sunlust is something else. it is very well designed and to me all of the encounters felt very thought out which helped my enjoyment. now I am playing on NTR but hey if thats how I enjoy the wad then so be it. huge props to ribbiks!

I just played this map myself and what I find interesting about these kinds of maps how different the approaches are. I didn't really bother with the north section at all at in beginning and focused on clearing out the south section (blue key section). The main goal at that stage was releasing the revenants that get released once you grab the plasma gun and use them to kill the 2 cyberdemons in the south. First thing I did after finishing the map was check out this video to see how differently you did it and man, I can't believe I didn't think of keeping the Spiderdemon alive for the revenant wave from the red key. Smart move.

it is time i returned my gamer card. i have never finished doom/doom2 in any difficulty above ITYTD. after watching you for days on end now, i finally started doom 2 in HMP. DId not expect, but i reached the Pit with two lives lost: one in the crusher where i fell in the lava and one in the pit where i exploded myself with the rocket launcher behind a short pillar 🙄

That death on the blind run was really painful, after seeing you come so far. Also using the podium-Cyberdemon against the Archviles guarding the BFG is really clever; I wonder if that even is the intended strategy for this trap by the level designer.

I'm not trapped with you, you are trapped with me. The good thing about this map is that gives room to move so even if you didn't know the traps during the blind run the map designed helped to stay alive for a while. I was hoping this to be a successful blind run

I'm generally not a fan of batches of monsters just suddenly popping in but this map did have its moments. Shame about the blind run indeed, it was a joy to watch

I nearly puckered too when you got hit from that archvile on your first attempt there. Its like when you eat like a lemon or a pickle that is just too much and your face starts puckering so much that your faces starts moving inwards there. LOL.

The truth is, watching Decino is more exciting than watching any action movie because you truly can't tell what's gonna happen next - as opposed to Hollywood films where you can pretty much always predict what's gonna happen.
