Oh yeah, I think this may be another one of his alter ego's, Mr. Insanity. I THINK he was in the end of the MIITO movie, but for sure mentioned on his last album. He's such a genius, I want to sob.

@@MorePara8 it could be very possible, since Ian doesn't give us an actual explanation. I feel like Mr. Insanity can be a brother or an enemy of MITO because they are born in the same place (maybe). But if Mr. Insanity turns out to be this clown God that would be mind blowing!

i think at one point he correlated it to his mental health and how it feels when he has his mental health moments as well. i could be wrong i heard him express it with alot of other songs he has made as well.

So happy you reacted to this!! DPR never disappoints not only musically, but visually as well. I’m never really stunned by mvs these days, but Ian’s visuals are out of this world 😤 Also agree about the album of the year. It was on repeat for me for literal months!

The picture frame (to me) depicts MITO's fall after Mr Insanity banishes him, which was the meaning of "Seraph" from MIITO. So... are we revisiting "Seraph" with a fully fleshed-out song this time? That was a string-heavy song. At the same time, that suspenseful chord gave off "Ribbon" vibes too. Questions... questions... questions... Another interpretation of the painting could represent IAN whenever he dips mentally. Or the reverse... him coming out of that negative state. I love this man and his creativity. One of the best living today. I can't wait for him to drop Dear Insanity!!! DPR WE GANG GANG!!!!

Random observation: The fur coat IAN (presumably) is wearing at the end might be the same coat he wore on his IG story of him sipping wine and slapping bass. Just throwing that out there.

So my first theory is somewhat true. The Dear Insanity EP is a prequel to this story he's been creating since way back. I guess that explains the tonal shift between PB&T and well... almost everything before it.

when I tell you this October will be /it/ oml the keys look like how hotel desks used to be set up before keycards, so I feel like the next MVs will continue with a sort of hotel/motel set up -- maybe the same one that he was in with the last album? I also do think that that was the same van as the last album, so you're not alone on that one I'm so psyched for the rest of the tracks TToTT

Sooooo, I'm not COMPLETELY sure, but I think this is only a snippet of the full song. Can you even imagine how the full song sounds? I would LOVE to jam out to an instrumental version. The new album comes out on October 6th (don't quote me on that lol) so we have a ways to go. Le sigh, lol.

DPR are so talented and so creative with everything they do! If you want to learn more about their creative process, and how collaborative they are, I would highly recommend checking out the official documentaries for the Ian’s MITO album and Live’s I.A.O.T?. They both give you amazing insight and even more respect for the passion these guys have ❤ Always enjoy watching your reactions x

Just a thought but the last snippet sounded like the beginning of Ribbon. Going with the whole idea of the hotel, the film where Ribbon appears has a “hotel” sort of vibe. I know I can be wrong bc, like others mentioned, this song has instrumentals towards the end. I also would love to be able to piece the art frames he always leaves at the beginning or end of his music videos. Can’t wait to get to know Mr. Insanity (the Clown God as he called it… I think)

The worse thing about the Miito album was the jarring amount of songs that were 2.5 minutes long. Like sir, "Sometimes I'm..." could have been 4 minutes and you know it! Lol, but real talk, he's my musical therapy
