You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzfaq.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

I took one of Wiilliam Ng's class and I learned so much in that week it was scary! I'd take more classes but the California traffic is insane! To travel 30 miles, plan on about 2 hours EACH WAY! His shop, while being immaculate is every Woodworker's dream and his instruction is the VERY, VERY best! This man is a product of the El Cerrito program where he took EVERY clsss and then began teaching before striking off on his own! He is SIMPLY AMAZING!

Sir William, :-) Thanks to this video, I got my table saw fence dialed in too. I had no idea I could adjust the fence until this video showed me those screws to look for. I feel like a dummy now, but man am I happy to have my stuff all dialed in and cutting straight / square cuts. THANK YOU!!!

Welcome back William!! It’s great to see you again. Congratulations on your new studio shop. That’s really going to help with your production and enjoyment. The video was excellent. You pointed out some very important things about the table saw that are super for those who are new to woodworking and great reminders for those of us who have been working with table saws for a long time. I’m looking forward to more videos from you.

Yes, I did miss you and it's great to see you back. Thanks for all the safety info about using the saw, I agree with you about the riving knife and the other safety items that should be used with the saw. I recently bought a new Dewalt table saw since my other table saw was missing the safety equipment. Congratulations on your new shop and I hope to see more videos from you soon. Thank you.

I couldn't hit like fast enough! So looking forward to more! Also, I've started to work with more rougher boards other than plywood lately. I have found that when ripping wider boards, the bandsaw is the prefered tool to minimize the risk of the boards releasing internal tension. Then take it to the table saw.

First time seeing your channel and so very glad you did. Ever since seeing the sawstop safety feature demo in action I have been wanting to upgrade to one. That and the fence just from it’s look is 1000 times better than what i have. Your description of its setup for getting it square has fully made up my mind. Thank you very much for that. I look forward to your future videos and will now head back to your previous.

Great tips, i just sold my beloved Uni-Saw and purchased the 3 HP Saw Stop PCS. i have been in a wheelchair for over 36 years and other than help getting it out of the box and on its stand, i, assembled the rest of it and adjusted it by myself. the blade to miter gauge was out 16 thousands and i used my dial indicator to get it absolutely perfect from front to back of the blade...not even a thousand out. the way that the engineers designed the adjustment made it so easy to do. Great saw and great customer service!

Thanks so much for your videos. I have just gotten into woodworking and knew Absolutely nothing. As I've been purchasing some equipment, learning the lingo, and developing my skills, your videos have been my go-to source of information. I've learned so much in a short amount of time by soaking up the knowledge you are so generous to provide to novices like myself. This video is just another example. I recently purchased a jobsite table saw, but had no idea how to calibrate it to make sure I was getting accurate cuts. Thanks again for all you do. You are my virtual mentor as I try to learn this craft.

I just recently discovered you on KZfaq Mr Ng, in fact I’ve kinda just discovered KZfaq, yeah I’m an old and in the way old school type of guy. All my life I’ve made my living out in the field building houses and such and then in the shop building cabs, and occasionally custom doors and windows, I’m trying real hard to retire now. I find it very refreshing to come across a person who really understands the the full “why, how, and way” of things. You are old school yourself, that’s a compliment, All of the diy, home improvement, and wood shop shows on the tv are just so much garbage, all air and no solid content, sorry Norm, the big box home improvement store’s must love them because of all the tv inspired amateur Diy’ers that go to them to get tools they will never learn to use keep them in business. Your videos on the other hand are informative and content rich. Thanks and keep them coming.

Glad you're back and super excited to see future videos! I made a crazy-accurate combo frankensled with help from your ideas. It cuts a square board to within 0.001" over 22 inches, perfect meters, and box joints! The 5-cut is a fantastic tool in my bag of tricks now. Thanks very much, we will all be back to watch your videos. By the way, I just read a ton of comments below and I think it's evident how much you are appreciated by this community

I just put together my PCS and I agree with you. The written documentation is as good as I have seen with any equipment. Everything fit well other than the fence tube bolts which were very hard to get started. The installation manuals were spot on. Sawstop is very well engineered and the documentation was great. Now to replace all my sleds and jigs from my old Delta 444. :)
