In this video we pull apart the gearbox from our old broken engine and then prep to install a lightweight flywheel on the new engine.

Piece of cake with engine out. Even with engine in they're not too bad once you get the upper box bolts out! Thanks for watching 🙂

On the hood struts closer too the hood side not the body side there is a 10mm bolt that you can take out to get the hood in a service position for more light etc.

Are you worried it's going to rattle like hell with the old clutch disc? Always thought it was best to use a sprung clutch with a solid flywheel.

We will see. If its horrible then I will switch to a sprung disc but I have this unsprung one here so we can only try 😀

Looking to purchase on of your lightweight flywheel, for my e36 323, M52B25, can I use the same lightweight flywheel on my replacement engine m52B28? Looking to future proof with a good clutch, I heard an e39 M5 sprung clutch is an OEM upgrade, would you know if it’s compatible with the flywheel you’re offering?

Yes you can run the ttv flywheel on both M52b25 and b28. You do need a 2.8 clutch kit(available on my website). I believe you can run an E34 m5 clutch disc which is 240mm also but have a sprung clutch, I am yet to test this but I will do in the near future
