Thank you for this video! I adjusted my Invicta bracelet earlier today before seeing your video, and I also bent the tip of the bracelet tool while removing the first pin. I'm glad I'm not the only one to have trouble with those flimsy tools. I decided to switch to using the small hammer and pin driving tool because I felt like they gave me more control, and I was more successful. Tapping the pins back in took a lot of effort though, with lots of hammering before some of the pins were completely driven into the links. Has that ever been an issue with you? My only concern is that I'm not experienced with metal bracelets, and I'm afraid of the pins falling out or failing in some other way after my installation. I'm interested in knowing if that's ever happened with you, and if you have any way of being certain that your pins will stay tight in the holes.
@CasualWatchReviews
@CasualWatchReviews 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel, it sounds like this was a lot more effort than is should have been, are you sure you were not trying to push the pin in for the way it came out. you push them out from the side with the arrow but back in the other way round. They should easily go back in. I have never had this type of pin fall back out. some screws I have but not these ones.
@hyperbius760
@hyperbius760 3 жыл бұрын
I also had some problems putting the pins back until I realized that the pins on my Invicta have heads. In other words one end of the pin is narrower than the other end. That's only visible when using a magnifying glass. Then I simply pushed them with my hand (narrower end going first) and fully seated them using the tool illustrated on the video.

Just a quick question: when you reinsert the pin, I'm assuming you have to note which end of it has the split, and make sure it matches all the others. Do you also follow the same arrow direction for inserting the pin? Excellent video, by the way.
@CasualWatchReviews
@CasualWatchReviews 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Im working on a updated video to this to show how it works. You're going the opposite way to the arrow to get it back in. The split has to be on the side the arrow is on

@@CasualWatchReviews Thank you for your quick reply. I have a suggestion for your update video that will help people like me (i.e. not always the sharpest tool in the shed). At the key points in the video, have zoomed in screenshots that show the pin, the arrow, and other pertinent things. I know it can seem over simplified, but it might help people like me not damage anything or become very frustrated by trial and error. @CasualWatchReviews
@CasualWatchReviews 2 жыл бұрын
If there are no pins, and you can’t see a ‘split’ on one side then you may have a watch that uses collar and pins. Citizen often use that type. From my experience you can push from either side. If you can see the pin is split on one side and looks like a tiny screw head (but one you cant get a screwdriver in). Push from the OTHER side. Any doubt at all I would take it to a jeweler!

Hey Tre, what are you having an issue with, getting the pin back in? I made a more up to date video, linked in the description of this one that shows the pins better.

Oh sorry to hear that, did you not have a pin from one of the removed links? A previous commenter said they bought some replacements on ebay.

Hi, I updated this video showing the pins better. But you shouldn’t need to apply that much pressure causing the pins to bend, you may have pushed them back in the wrong direction. Here is a shorter and more in-depth updated video I did. Easily Resize INVICTA Pro Diver Bracelet (2022 Version) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gdxzi8l3ubCmYH0.html

I have one of these tools but the pin pusher keeps bending when I try and screw it??
@CasualWatchReviews
@CasualWatchReviews 3 жыл бұрын
Some of the cheaper ones do that for sure. Also make sure your pushing it from the right side. They only push one way

I had the same problem until the tool broke. A common Push Pin, thick book and hammer or something to lightly tap the push pin can be used without buying tools.

I used a Pushpin (thumb tac) and thumb pressure to remove links.. No other tools needed...
