The very same exercises that my physical therapist taught me while I was recovering from a very serious back injury/surgery. They certainly work. I never have to take pain-killers because of using these stretches. Thanks Dr. K.

Definitely need to add these to my routine but can’t do the ones on the floor just yet. Had a total knee replacement surgery 8 weeks ago and can’t kneel on my knee just yet.

This is especially good for me to know because I have chronic vertigo, so getting up and down from the floor can be really hard when I'm having a spell. I had no idea you could do that while seated.

Re the kneeling hip flexor, I'd never had success with this before because I didn't know to rotate and tighten the buttocks muscles. What a difference that makes! Thank you! 😊

For number 3, when I do that one, I "feel" it pretty early, but I also feel like I can push through that boundary a bit and like, get whatever I'm stretching to stretch a tiny bit more. I wouldn't call it painful, but definitely more intense, and completely in my nerve moreso than my muscle it feels like. Should I NOT be trying to go just that tiny bit farther, beyond where I feel it doing the stretch, like I'm trying to get the MOST I can out of that motion when I do it. My mobility is VERY low, in physio recovering my hip and legs and back and all that, and physio gave me that exact exercise 2 weeks ago!

I tend to tell my patients to listen to their bodies:) stretching/mobility should generally feel good. Also, if my patients have nerve symptoms, I don’t want them to push through that.

It is! I was told I would never run again, or walk normally, so when I completed my 2nd Ironman I got the Ironman symbol with a shark (because I love sharks:) as a reminder not to listen to people telling me I can’t do something:)
