EASY Clutch Bleeding - Ducati V4 Panigale

Just a quick HOW TO video on How to bleed a clutch on a Ducati V4 Panigale, this particular bike is a 2018 model, I cant imagine it would be any different to the 2018-2021 models.
By doing these little jobs yourself you might save yourself some money and time.
All up this took me less than 10 minutes and a couple of oily hands....

Really really good video. I have a squishy clutch. Was going to bring it in and pay $200 to have it bled but after watching this…..I did it myself and it works perfect. Thank you.

Thank you so much. Just finished bleeding my system and I’m able to ride again. I wanted to flush the whole thing but wasn’t sure if could do it with this method. I had dark liquid come out but the clutch reservoir was getting low. So I stopped

Mity vac Vacuum bleeder is a good investment. I get the front and rear breaks and clutch done in about 5 mins full flush with new fluid.

what if the clutch engages when the bike is off, but once i turn on the engine the clutch lever is good for like 1 minute but then loses all resistance after one minute.... is that a symptom of a simple bleeding that is needed? or worse?

Curious if there is any difference between bleeding from the top "nib" on the handlebar vs the bottom one?

Good question! My understanding is to get air fully out of system you do bottom flush bleed, then top for any last little remaining bits….but I normally just do bottom

👍 same with break lines do longest line first then last the shortest to ensure all air is out of the system makes it faster also

When do u know its time for a bleed? What are the signs,

Your clutch will feel super soft and it’ll be hard to find neutral…..

I just changed my slave cylinder, but I can't built pressure when I am bleeding the clutch. I have folowed every step for 10 times, each time I pull the clutch, the lever is so light that I can't feel clutch in engaged , help

Grab a medium/large syringe and hose. Connect to the slave cylinder bleed nipple and maybe use a cable tie to ensure a good seal. Inject Dot 4 up the system to the master/clutch lever. It will force the Dot 4 up the system and into the reservoir. It can be a bit messy to cover everything very carefully.

Great video. Dumb Question: you just keep bleeding until it’s completely empty correct? Then pour the correct amount of DOT 4 fluid back into the cylinder and close the lid? Like, what does the end process look like after your bleeds? Do you only do that quarter turn a few times? Or drain the whole thing. Thanks!

No you never let the fluid level drop below midway otherwise it will just add air to the line

@@oneL perfect. So bleed, but not past the Minimum line and then refill if needed. Got it. Same for brakes?

Quarter turn? Haha… more like 1/16 or something. Just loosen enough to see fluid. Is it 8mm tube? I have 1299 and think it’s the same but don’t wanna get home and need a 7mm Id…

@@oneL do you eventually go to the top side, master cylinder to drain too? or from the bottom should suffice? thanks

Hey man… question, I did this on my Ducati Panigale and now I hear a wet bubbly/straw slurping like sound by the slave cylinder when I engage/pull in the clutch. I tried flushing clean fluid a few times but still the same sound occurs by the slave cylinder area :(

Eeek! That’s a new one…. I would be double checking you’ve used the correct fluid and left any air in the pipes….

@@oneL I’m using the motul manufacture recommended dot 4 fluid and did the flushing part about 7-8 times with the same issue
