I have been using ChatGPT for random encounters. I have told it the specific environment and monsters that I want to see in the area. I told it to make a mix of social, travel, and combat and it did it perfectly. I could give it more specifics and it came up with both simple and complex ideas I could work with. Great video!

First of all, love your content. Another great video. I’m taking notes on how to use chatgpt to enhance my games and this is awesome. However, gotta nitpick here…at 10:25, you rolled a 100! 00 and 0 is 100. You don’t “add” the two dice together, they represent the tens and ones columns. The only exception is when you roll all zeroes, that’s 100 since there’s no hundreds column. Phb page 6 clarifies this. Fwiw you’re not the first I’ve seen use this method of “adding” the two dice but it just makes it confusing. If the 0 on the d10 were intended to ALWAYS represent 10, they would have just printed a 10 on the die instead of a 0.

Good call. That is raw. I personally would rather the dice have a 10 instead of a 0. It’s the only one that doesn’t use the tens place in order to make a 100 roll that could be done by adding. Because 00 then is 0 sometimes and 100 when the dice reads 00,0. It seems like more of a stretch to me. You are absolutely correct, I just wanted to hop on my soap box for a sec. I’ve been doing the adding mode for so long I forgot it’s not raw.

I love these ChatGPT D&D applications. I recently had ChatGPT assist me in making a pantheon for a campaign I'm hoping to run in the future and it's really helped flesh out some areas that would normally take me quite a bit of time.

Sort of. It started with a pantheon segmented into 4 segments, then it's broken down into the children of the different deities. Now I'm just sort of filling things in here and there.

I think that the prompt about transparent skin is that the PC isn't transparent, only their skin is. So you're this walking mass of muscle and tissue which naturally causes people to pay close attention to you. You can't blend in or act with subtly when you're being gawked at by a crowd.

Ten? Not 100? I mean when you roll on d6 the numbers are 1-6. There is no 0. In our case, 1 - 100, there is no Zero. You rolled a 100. Also, because the 10s die had OO on it and the ones die rolled a 0. All those Zeroes are great but since the ZERO is not possible, then you rolled a 100!

I know that’s RAW and I don’t knock anyone for doing it that way but on a math principle I prefer to just add the dice values and this d10s should have just been written 10 in them. So I forget that isn’t actually RAW. Odd fact: Did you know that the percentile die are the only non-platonic solids that are used as dice (it a geometry term for… “perfect shapes”) You do have a serious point that the experience of seeing 00-0 is a cool moment worth the excitement.
