Thanks for watching. This echo trimmer was used commercially and it was heavily used. Eventually something had to break and the throttle trigger was that part. The fix of course was to replace the lever with another one and this part comes from a parts trimmer. It doesn't work out like I hoped it would so watch the video and find out what happened.

Thank you. My model has the "bad" handle. Thanks for showing me how it all fits together. The spring popped out about a dozen times lolo, but I got it.

It's good you swapped the whole assembly. Due to age and wear, any other choice is asking for more breakage. We should nickname you Trimmer Garage since you are good at them. And yes, I have new arrivals, but the weather is too cold to work outside. Can't spoil the surprise. :) If you were here, you'd get first buyer privilege.

There's an old saying....... You gotta be smarter than what your working with..... AND you sure was .... Great job Mon Ami...... I have a friend that lives in a saltwater high humidity area in South east Louisiana and his 20 plus year old echo weed whacker runs perfect..... He takes care of his equipment..... Plus Tard ..................

Our handle is not controlling the speed, but instead it is always on max. Is it a handle issue? Carburetor?

before starting it, squeeze trigger several times on the handle, and look at the carb area. Look for part of the carb to be moving if it is moving , then the problem Is the Carb.

ALWAYS put the Model number on videos. Soooooooo tired of clicking on links and finding out that the video is for another model the the Echo I own. For this I have to give a thumbs down
