Are you kidding me? A 4kw motor? Plus leaving the transmission (15-20% parasitic load) in place? Even without losing 15-20% of your messily 4kw, it would still not be anywhere near enough. The gas engine has 37 hp or almost 28kw.

@@msaad42 This is not true. it takes X number of watts to move a car down the road at Y speed. That's why this thing has such a limited high speed.

Very good but must install rear Mount motor with rear wheel drive in engine is must for front wheel drive. Use both engine and motor instead of removing an engine. It is feel free driving in case of charge is down we using engine.

No coupling/rubber seal while joining gearbox? Solar panel on the roof(if install) can charge the aux battery. Car balance/handling/weight distribution after the installation? Any changes required in whole suspension system? Aircondition working on battery/alternator?

The motor get coupled with the gearbox with a clutch in betwee that already has clutch springs to handle the jerks in starting. So you don't need any rubber couplings. The battery pack in installed in the rear section and we have made the necessary changes in the suspension to maintain the stability of the vechicle. An electric compressor will have to be installed for the working of your air conditioning system.

Really liked the project. Few questions though; how the electronics and the motor are going to be protected from water during rains or a splash from under body? Do you have plans to bring out the conversion kits for bigger sedans as well?

The motor and controller that we have used are IP67 rated. Everything gets completely sealed with IP67 rated 3M sealants so that water does not enter those parts. We have kept the top cover and the components opened up only for recording the video for explanation.

Hi brother. The auxiliaries of the vechicle include electric motor also like the wioer motor, power steering actuator, etc. Sometimes when working these auxiliaries require surge currents in start due to which the dc to dc convertor gets damaged. So here we have kept the 12 V battery in between so that the surge currents are provided by the battery. Dc to dc has to just top up that battery and keep it charged.
