Hello from Vermont where we have plenty of snow. It's cold and wet and heavy and a pain because you can't stay outside without freezing yer tuckus off. That said, yes, the first few hours after a snowfall, when the branches are covered like in 21:11, it's absolutely beautiful and surreal and almost worth all the cold. Almost. The pretty bird is a cardinal, who is a year-round resident here. They're really wonderful because as a part of their mating ritual, the male will feed the female, and they'll visit feeders, just like a couple on a date. Later, when they have hatchlings, you can see the parents teaching their kids how to perch on a feeder. I keep budgies (parakeets) and they always like to talk to their wild Cardinal friends, who have a whole bunch of varied calls. This has nothing to do with anything but I thought I'd type it anyway just in case anyone was curious.

Robin. You get the wood to bend like that by wetting the wood then very slowly bending it before wetting it again and repeating the same process. This is how people built wooden boats. The water makes the wood be able to bend slightly.
