We replace a worn out engine mount with a fresh stiff mount on this beautiful Mini Cooper S. For this job you have to remove the headlight and the adjusters are onetime use, so have some mounting adjusters on hand. We hope you enjoy the video!

Appreciate the video but a little commentary would help, had to watch in super slow to see anything you're doing. I guess you just jack up the motor to relieve some pressure then remove the mount??

I have a faint recollection that the mounting bolts are special tension bolts that need to be replaced ?

Those oem bolts are tty (torque to yield). Did you manage to replace them with a higher strength bolt that doesn't require it?

Not for the Headlight Mounting Adj / Clip - I got it back in but it's not exactly where it should be. Got distracted with other things & have not fixed it yet

Hey on a 2017 mini Cooper to replace the motor mount you have to take off the head light right but how do you make sure the head lights will fit nicely back in the hood hole

Where are the other mounts located and do you replace them all?

There are two in the front, however, they usually do not show signs of wear and are therefore rarely replaced.

@@FastLaneEuropean there's a lower mount that fails quite frequently. There's a PUMA measure on it, We replace them frequently at our Mini Dealership in Vancouver!

What is labor cost on this specific job with parts? And does extended warranty cover this my 2018 mini countryman s only has 33 thousand miles on it Thanks for feed back

@@dawndusk18I just got quoted $775 for this job. 3 hours of labor and about $118 for the part if I'm not mistaken. Came hear to find out if this is one I can handle, but unfortunately not.

@@bobbylane589 my Mini dealer from Huntington, NY (Habberstad MINI) quoted this job at $2000+, said they need to take out the engine. Didn't have the parts when I came to him. Changing a clock spring would cost me almost another thousand. I have 2017 Countryman they sold it to me as a certified a year ago, so after a year I came back for an annual check-up/maintenance, they told me my engine mount is now cracked, and also I have some aftermarket thingy going on in my tail lights (parts aren't genuine). I drove around 2000 miles in a whole year, and obviously I never touched the tail lights, they were assembled by them before they sold this car to me... Anyway, I wonder why the price for the work between you and me is so much different. Like around $1,300 difference, would you be so kind to share your thoughts, if you can think of why? With much appreciation in advance, if you don't mind.

@@bobbylane589 you should be able to handle it. The most excessive thing done here is removing the wheel and wheel well, but some people don't even bother with that. It was only done to make it a bit easier to access a nut on the backside of the headlight...but it isn't entirely necessary
