Hey Anthony. Hang in there bro. Many times in life it is darkest before the dawn. When I read your post I couldn't help but think that the people in your life are adults in body but childlike in maturity. This also assumes you haven't screwed them over like stealing your mom's car so she loses her job cause she has no transportation. It takes a mature and honest person to take accountability for their good actions and their bad. It is probably easier for them to just blame you cause it deflects the blame outwards so that they don't have to reflect on it. You cant choose your family but there comes a point in life where it is better emotionally to be separate from negative people. If they weren't related would they be in your life by the behavior they portray towards you? Depending on your age you may have the decision to move out. Can research van life? Can probably get set up for a couple grand with an old van. Better to sleep in a van in peace than live in turmoil. The comment about the gun... God gave you life and has a great plan for you. I get it that you don't see it now but that doesn't mean it is any less true. Start renewing your mind with spiritual truth so that some of the negative will leave. People go where they focus on. Think of a glass of water. That is your life. Add a spoon full of dirt (crappy life choices or situations ) and stir it.. what happens? becomes cloudy.. Not good to drink. what if you put that glass of murky water under a faucet of water where there is a slow stream of clean water flowing into it?? what will happen? slowly the clean water ( good thoughts and choices) will displace the murky and the glass will become better and better to drink... but wait... what if you then re-add some dirt again and stir ( bad life choices and negative situations)??? gets all messed up again. This is the story of many people's lives and then they wonder why life is so hard. but what if... you stop the negative ( dirt ) and leave that glass under the clean refreshing water flowing into your life??? life becomes better right? I believe learning and comprehending the truth of God thru the bible will be the refreshing you can use in your life. God can and will take your brokenness and dysfunctional home life and use it for His glory if you surrender it to Him. God bless. The message bible is a good place for people to start with.
