In this video, I will be going over all of the tech questions I have been asked in my entry-level or junior level networking interviews along with the answers I have given. I do not recommend you answer these questions like this and just do your own research and prep before. The questions are real on the other hand.

For BGP statuses, there are 6, they are 1) Idle 2) Connect (sends TCP Sync to peer) 3) Active (received TCP Sync & Ack from peer) 4) OpenSent (sends Open message to peer) 5) OpenConfirm (got Open message from peer). 6) Established BGP uses TCP port 179

Interviews can be a stressful aspect of job hunting due to their varied nature, with some being more traditional question-and-answer formats while others are situational or conversational. I recall experiencing an interview that focused on situational scenarios rather than technical questions, despite it being for a technical role. I dedicated a week to preparation for the interview, only to receive no response from the hiring manager and HR after the interview. This lack of feedback has left me wondering about what I might have done differently.

Thanks for this! I recently started looking for entry-level ne jobs and was shocked that they all wanted 2 years of Python, 2-4 years experience managing network devices, Powershell scripting, 2 years sys admin experience, hands-on config with ASA, etc. If this is truly the questions asked for an entry-level ne role I am more prepared than I thought. I was about to to give up and look for help desk. Perhaps it's just HR making a wishlist?

But the interview is based on Cisco Product, what if it's juniper or some other switch configuration? and you just can't add an IP in a switch interface without enabling it to be configured as L3 interface to do that you need to type "no switchport". but it's a nice interview I like it.

Very true. This was my experience of course. Even when I worked with Junipers I was asked Cisco based questions because of my experience but you are right ☺️
@dioncoldy
@dioncoldy 3 жыл бұрын
@@certifiedcurls I'm not a network admin but I saw you struggling for the ip address subnetting, I found the simplest way to do that in your mind if it's a host-based question just always subtract that value from 32 whatever you get is 2 the power of that number minus 2. like for example if it's \18 then 32-18 would be 14 so 2^14-2 = some number, so that much would be a definite answer or if it's \29 32-29 = 3 so 2^3-2=6. I feel like you know this but in case you forgot.
