There’s a lot more we learned about her that I’m not comfortable putting out, but we do need to be VERY cautious of her. At the very least, she’s unstable & unable to get out of her own way. We are personally prepared for the next issue that may arise, but I pray she just moves on and finds something else to be upset about. This is our happy place, I don’t want to get permanently involved with her nonsense.

@@kenyattac3239 it’s super sad. I honestly felt like I was dealing with one of my patients in prison again. Similar circular nonsense, attitude, and overall just ugliness. I feel for her, she’s got to be miserable if she honestly believes everyone who lives up there is trespassing.

She doesn't sound crazy. It's easy to understand if we imagine the context is her family having owed all that land, then as parents pass and her brother or sister became executor and sold all the land without her permission and left her the house.

Had a neighbor just like that who poisoned are shrubs and called the police on us all the time, after are lawyer got involved the police told her not to call on us anymore.short version

Misery loves company. I had two bad neighbors and I moved. Never again. I know why they did what they did. Neither one of them were happy and they took it upon themselves to spread their misery. It drove them crazy to see us enjoying ourselves. Once the county paperwork is delivered to this person, they still will deny it. Lawyer up, present this video to the lawyer and the sheriff and it most likely will take a visit from the sheriff to get this person to stand down. If the sheriff is any good they will in no uncertain terms make it very clear what will happen to them if they take any action against you. Given her attitude, if she displays that to the sheriff it will not end well for her. Today’s law enforcement has ways to trip people’s trigger and get them to say or do something that will get them placed in the back of the cruiser.

@@hillbilly4christ638 boy I just hate that for you. Unfortunately this lady is well known to the law around here. I called the sheriff immediately after the incident and they went out there. Didn’t need her address, they knew her by her physical description. She’s been trouble for years!! Found out later that she’s done a whole lot more than talk during incidents with other neighbors, but people around here are very “eh let it go”, so they never press charges. We have kids, they don’t, so we aren’t letting it go.

A placatory letter to her from your lawyer explaining what you own, what you intend to do on your land and the legal access you use to get there will give you the moral high ground. Request she make her allegations clear and what supporting evidence she has otherwise cease and desist from interfering.

You are sweet people. This woman may be suffering from Dementia or some sort of Psychiatric disorder. For your own protection you may want to file an order of protection. All of the decent neighbors may want to do this as well. Also, consider putting up some trail cams in case she tries to vandalize your property. So sorry you have to go through this but I think both of you acted with real grace.

My wife and I bought some acreage north of Yellville, AR. I maintain a 2 mile road from mail box to our house. I have an old lady JUST like that old woman. You just can't hide or avoid people like this.

We had a woman like this where I grew up. She'd shoot at you with salt shot from a shotgun if she thought you were on her property. One REALLY dangerous thing she did was string brown yarn between the trees at head height on all the trails. When you'd hit it riding your bike it would compress down into a very sharp string. She almost took an ATV'ers head off at one point. She was finally arrested and put into a home.

Holy crap. Yeah they sound like family. Our neighbor has done similar stuff (minus the string). That’s part of why I refuse to extend her more courtesy than necessary. She’s dangerous.

I bought an old 535 Ford backhoe for my off grid place in Virginia. the first thing I did with it was get it stuck in a mudpit ditch. Had to crib it up with logs and bucket-roll it out, took a full day and a half cord of wood. Great fun. Every tree on the lot has a bucket ding on it from me riding around and forgetting about the hoe swinging around behind me. Great piece of equipment, enjoy.

Had neighbour troubles similar over boundary , it can destroy your whole outlook on life. Do not let anyone push you around, if you own it you own it! Get cameras up protect your rights, life is for living, but watch yourselves. Best of luck love from blighty.

Just started watching your videos and love them! I also had a "karen" neighbor in the town I used to live in. That was 20 years ago and I've lived happily out in the country in a mobile home community with nice neighbors. My old neighbor complained about everything I did in my own yard, like mowing the lawn after I got home from work at 3 in the afternoon, walking the dog, or barbequing. I finally told her off one day and she left me alone after that.

Check to see if the properties her name is on have up to date taxes paid. Put up no trespassing signs every 50 along your property if you can. Take a couple of dryer sheets, tear them in halves. Put them in your socks and pockets it’ll help keep the ticks off.

Excavators are easy to operate and they're fun too. There are some things to be careful about. They WILL fall over if you try to lift too much of you're on ground that's soft or unlevel. So be careful but have fun!

She’s not safe to be around. We learned a lot more about her previous behaviors after the incident, and I’m not inviting her in any way into our lives. I’m ok with her knowing we don’t have ANYTHING to do with her. It’s sad… but I’ve got little kids and it’s obvious she doesn’t have any respect for the safety of others.

The county judge needs to intervene, dialogue with mental & physical providers, in addition to an attorney. A hearing needs to occur to evaluate & assess this individual. The fact that she’s driving & is delusional is concerning.

It’s suuuuuper concerning. Unfortunately it seems that most of law enforcement around here is only interested in getting rid of the issue for the moment and doesn’t want to commit to doing anything long term. We’re seeing that with the arsonist in our hollow now too.

use to live in Chester california and the stupier rich tried blocking us from shore fishing, it not work out the way they wanted when they called for a meeting to have the shore fenced off, Pacific Gas & Electric owns the lake and the property that they were was their backyards so PG&E said ok we will put up your fence but we will put the fence on our property line which will fence off over half of your back yards and make you take all your floating docks out of our water plus put in trails in that are fenced that every one can only go in and out of the lake shore and if you het caught climbing a fence we put up you will be arrested for trespassing on a power company property which can be deemed a terrorist act trying to get in unseen on our property boy were they pissed off and all of them just walked out

This kind of thing happens often in rural areas. It’s not that bad in my area anymore. I’m in a lake community in Upstate NY with a lot of transplants from NYC. I remember a couple decades ago our town did a tax revaluation on the lakefront property. Most of these properties were bought out over the years by wealthy people from the city. When the new tax assessment’s were released they flooded the town hall to complain. Several board members told them they are guests in our town and it’s not their land. Although I have lived here my whole life, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. And I certainly didn’t agree. A lot of families around the lake, subdivided pieces of their property and sold them to these folks. But they had the mentality that they still were able to control the property they sold. Things are much better now, but for years this actually was the case. Local government would illegally take the side of the original owners.

It’s so sad. My family is native to Texas and we watch our hometown get gobbled up by developers & out of state folks who brought a lot of nonsense with them. I’m sure she’s got some fear of that here, but we literally don’t want to change anything. We love this place and just want to build our home and be left alone.

Yall will be great nieghbors no doubt, we wnet thur the samething bout a year ago we purchased 14 acres on a deadend rd met with all the neighbors but one he didnt even live on the rd! Though it didnt take us long to cross pass because are properties join in one area and there was a couple pins i couldnt find so hired a survyer to mark out the lines needless to say that seems to had made us bad neighbors!

Just a note about 4 wheel drives I lived about 20 miles out of town and drove there and back everyday with my truck in 4 wheel high no freeway driving though but I pulled the hubs off after 4 years and they looked just like brand new ones. that was 22 years ago and I still drive that truck everyday.

Nobody really likes change, we live in a country neighborhood outside of a city or town limit, we had a new family move-in, and their kids were playing in our woods. When I stopped, introduced myself and say welcome to the neighborhood I pointed out that their kids were playing in my woods that had several hung up dead trees, and I was concerned that they are on private property and there’s some dead trees in there. Well the guys started telling me right off the bat he knows that’s a park and he seemed to understand that his kids could play there. And when I told him the public park was down the road a half a mile and then that was private property he didn’t want to believe me.

Yeah unfortunately I wasn’t recording when she made her grand entrance. She came in so hot I thought she was going to make the turn and keep going. According to the neighbors and credible sources with the county, she’s done a lot more than talk in previous dealings with people. I’m pregnant and have a young son in the car behind me while all this is going on & did my best to try and understand what she was actually getting at. I only started recording because she showed up with her phone out pointed at me saying “IM HERE TO RECORD YOU. I KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING.” So I picked up my camera and recorded too. I guess she thought that was going to scare me?

hi there, i have been watching all your videos and what you do reminds me off the youtuber "C'mon Homesteading" he bought a little run down hunting shack in nowere in arkansas and he made it into a off grid house whit everything he need to survive, like bathroom/ kitchen/ laundry/ and everything else and he use a generator and batteries to get power and he uses starlink to get internet to post youtube videos and so on. i really like what you are doing to your land and i hope you keep it up and i am curious what you will do next. hope you have a great day :)

oh my goodness ill have to look him up! I cannot wait to get solar so we can run wifi out here. at the moment we're going to friends/family's houses to edit and upload and that's a real chore!! Our next thing out here is building a bigger cabin so we can sell our house, move her full time (with room for grandparents/guests) and keep cleaning for animals. we dream of bison!

@@woodysbarndominium he have toons off youtube clip but in the playlist then he have section them up so it is easy to see what is what, but he have a i think it is 20 acre land that he is creating his homestead on and he lives there whit his nephew and the nephews wife and their 3 kids, and everybody there is doing the offgrid life, basically lives off generators. he is a part off something they call a "framily" the framily is a bunch off homestead youtubers that is doing both offgrid and uhm "ongrid" if that is a word, but most off them are going to do offgrid homestead if i understand correct.

Howdy!! It’s a grey market machine (an import) so we were able to get a great deal on it. Wouldn’t have made such a gamble without having a few folks in our corner who know a bit about this stuff, that’s for sure! We’re already learning the hard way. Lol

Great video!!! Can't wait to see how you expand on EVERYTHING 😁 Also, you handled that woman very well! I get a mix of mental health and possibly dementia or other age related issue from her. She reminds me of my husband's aunt who was VERY pissy in her older age but couldn't really tell you why. The Drs just said it was part of dementia 🤔

The edits at 11:55, I'd cover up the jump cuts by scaling up the next shot for a close up, and back out a bit for the next cut. Some voice over instead of text on the opening montage would have been nice too. The voice over during Woody welding was really great.

That is good idea in my opinion, to purchase it. Rebuilding and upkeep is a lot less expensive than sending mechanic up the hill on a hourly rate. Remember it’s just a machine grease it good and change filters and oil. Go over it good when you get back after a while sitting on the hill alone. O ps. Your other neighbors will love the fact you can be of use to them. It might even keep your parts bill. Good luck and God bless. Millie and John. OK. Just finished watching all your videos, and you have my interest. :) Sorry about the crazy lady! I still can't see where TX ties in to what's going on other than you have family in TX. Did you live in TX for awhile after leaving NC and before you bought your property in AR? Not trying to meddle in your business, but give us more about your backgrounds. Woody seem to be able to build/fix/modify just about anything and he was a HM in the Navy. Those skills came from somewhere. Also, Woody is going to TN for 3 months of work.....what is he doing? Megan, nice job on the laundry room! :)

Hi! Thanks for joining us! We met and married in Texas when woody was stationed there, then moved to NC. Woody is extremely mechanically inclined, comes from a long line of engineers 😂 He does a lot of oddball stuff but the job in TN (that he didn’t end up going on because we all got norovirus) was erecting a steel building for a barndominium!
