The fact that she denies her diagnosis after publicizing her “recovery” on Shane Dawsons channel is just really weird and disgusting. I can’t stand it

I can't help but notice that every time she is gaslighting someone or trying to argue against them, she will stop mid sentence to thank someone from her chat in an overly excited way. I think she does this to deflect from the fact that she never has a solid argument against what people are saying to her in the chat. If you pay attention, she does this a lot

Why does she think recovery is supposed to be a happy time? It's a nightmare coming to terms with our demons. That's why EDs and addictions are so hard to separate from!!!

I mean, she's being honest. She just isn't aware of what that means. During the time where she was forced or coerced into recovery, she was miserable and unhappy. She believes she is much more content and "happy" living in her ED. This is extremely unsurprising. She is saying the quiet part out loud. It's not something unique to her either, I think this is true for the majority of people with ED, especially when they don't spend enough time in recovery. Early recovery is absolutely miserable. It takes so much time to heal.

She never sees herself as in the wrong and never thinks she has to apologize and it’s gross. She’s living off Jeffree’s awful attitude and how he still is living mentally in 2016 when he was still relevant. It’s really gross

I love how she blatantly lies for the most part about her condition, despite in the past being open and honest about it. It’s even more ridiculous to lie when you livestream for 6-12 hours a day and we never see you eat, or even really drink…

My 70 year old mother walked in my room this morning and saw Eugenia on my tv and goes, "EW! WHAT IS THAT!???" it was a stark reminder if the desensitization you spoke of a few days ago.

Eugenia's streams just seem so toxic and confusing to me as "content." All of the other creators I watch will actually talk about a topic in their live stream. It may be an experience that they went through recently, it may be a current event topic or a travel topic, but there is a TOPIC that constitutes the live stream. Eugenia's content / topic is literally defending herself every night. She knows that when she goes live she is going to have the exact same conversations she has had last night, last week, last month, last year. It seems like groundhog's day - the same conversation over and over again where she does nothing but respond to negative comments about herself. I would find that exhausting if I were her and it can't be good for her own mental health.

Again, Eugenia gaslighting her audience about her condition makes sense when you realize it's not uncommon for people who have life-threatening conditions to lie about how sick they are. She writes off the people who are concerned for her because she doesn't want people going into a frenzy over her health, or because she doesn't want to think about her own eventual deterioration. "I'm not in recovery," etc.

As a retired nurse, in my opinion only (not diagnosing) but she has just signed her own death certificate, denying her ed and the need for recovery. She won't go get help because she really believes there's nothing wrong with her. It's too late now I think, even if she were to go get help, her internal organs would be a train wreck and probably very close to shutting down. It's so sad.

Eugenia isn’t “in recovery” or “recovering”. Recovery implies an acknowledgment of maladaptive behaviors and an active effort to reduce or abstain from said behaviors (make healthier choices, for example). Sadly, she is actively in her illness, with no intention to recover (unless things change drastically). So technically, her statements about this are not untrue.

I swear some of these people in her chat want her to die. How can you ever tell someone in her condition that “she’s looking good because she’s recovering” or “she looks healthy coz she’s gaining weight”? Like that’s actually unbelievably cruel and a one way ticket to collapse.

I never noticed just how bad Eugenia actually twitches! The reason that she is CONSTANTLY moving is to _hide_ how bad she's actually twitching...and it's _bad_ ! Sometimes I see her midsection area (maybe from her back?) almost convulse so hard that it makes her straighten up and it's a few times consecutively. She moves so much, always squiggling around to cover it up. I really never saw it before. How far can she go like this? It's going to get worse! How long can she keep moving around to cover it? Pretty far so it seems. Just WOW!

And Jordy, her body language says everything about how she feels about whatever is being brought up. She looked down when someone asked if she's okay with how she looks and the smile left her face and when she does smile in those situations it's forced. And of course she sees things differently than everyone else. She lives in a bubble of fantasy and does so admittedly. At 30 years old she doesn't have to leave home (her bedroom), get a real job, own a car, rent or own an apt. or house and be saddled with all the responsibilities that that entails such as paying bills, maintaining their upkeep, etc. Nope. She's Peter Pan. She doesn't need to grow up. Mommy is there to take care of all her needs...and by "needs" I mean under her thumb to keep her stuck in that 13 year old mentality.

Her lawyers might have also said in essence that if she is honest about certain things online, social media platforms will have grounds pto boot her off.There is a whole team of enablers that are letting this happen. If she were my daughter, I'd march in there and disconnect all her sh-- and tell her "You are not streaming in this house. You want to stream,get your own place. But this,this is done."

I feel this needs to be said. Eugenia’s statements are her reality. Those who are not in the grip of this (deadly) illness can see what is clearly visible. But her reality is different; if it weren’t different than she wouldn’t be in the state that she’s in. It’s easy for outsiders to see the illness when looking at her body, but it’s harder to imagine what it does to her mind. Her mind has the illness…it all starts and ends in the mind. She’s very, very sick and expecting her to behave logically right now is not grasping the depths of said sickness.

I believe the reason she engages with all the "negative " comments is because she wouldn't have anything else to talk about . All she would be saying is thank you for the heart mes or whatever tf she be begging for 😊

My little 5 year old niece has been in and out of hospital for the past few days getting all sorts of invasive tests and scans. We were all so scared about it being cancer, but we just got the all clear today!! As well as our brilliant NHS in the UK, I can’t thank Jordy enough either for the comfort his videos have been for me lately

When I was in the grips of my anorexia, I was obsessed with food. Particularly if it was “safe” or not. You still have to eat to be able to have just enough energy to get through the day. To this day I cannot believe how sick I was. I can’t believe I looked in the mirror and thought I was fat. I was very very underweight. And dropped almost xxx amount of weight in like 7 months. It’s amazing what your mind will tell you. It was like having the sane hungry voice on one shoulder and the devil on the other telling me what to eat or not eat, and telling me I wasn’t good enough. It still baffles me. I work in mental health now and the awareness I have now. I’m just amazed I made it out alive. It’s weird I listened to that damn fly leaf song all the time at the time. The more depressing the better. Whatever kept me in that mind frame. Sorry for the rambles.

I was in this live and she was totally focusing on all of the “hate” comments. (Like she does every other time) She is famous for bringing up the same exact comments even if no one wrote it. She’s like a broken record. It’s always about: Eat a burger, she looks pregnant, she’s a skeleton, her hair is thinning out, her teeth are fake, she’s gained weight, etc. Besides talking about JS makeup and skincare, she has nothing else to offer conversation wise. People were hitting her hard with trying to have her admit she has an ED and that she knows she gaslights us. She wound up going into sub only chat because you could see it was bothering her. But she could totally ignore those comments and not give them any attention, but Eugenia will never do that. It’s shocking to see how many people donate their money to her. She never does anything for her fans. A lot of influencers will do giveaways as a thank you, but Eugenia never thinks about doing something like that. Instead, she sits there on her pink couch begging for money. It still irks me that she blocked that one girl that gave her an $800 gift just because Jeffree said that he doesn’t like her. 😒 I’m surprised that Eugenia’s nose isn’t brown from all the @ss kissing does for Jeffree.

I feel like ED’s are very much like an addiction- the mental gymnastics that one makes to justify their fucked up logic… I feel like a big part of recovery itself, is openly admitting that you have a problem, instead of going on like normal- as EC does. I personally never felt like I actually made any progress in any of my recovery attempts, until I was able to clearly articulate my issues with those I was close to- hiding it is a big part of the “addiction” because people will “try and stop you” aka “people want to make you fat”. It’s a huge mental block that has to be overcame I believe.

She relates “recovery” to a bad experience, a traumatic time in her life, which gives me even less hope that she’ll ever attempt to recover again. Recovery can be scary enough without having that extra mental block and the negative association. She’d rather stay in her comfortable fantasy bubble, uncomfortable as it is in reality, because in her mind it is less uncomfortable than dealing with her shit.

I have been through a lot. I've lost a child to filicide, both of my parents and the love of my life all before I turned 35 and when people meet me and find these things out they're shocked because I'm the happiest, most well adjusted person they've ever met. And I feel because I know what it's like to experience true sadness, little things don't bother me as much anymore. You need these experiences to give you perspective in life and locking yourself in a pink bubble with a little pink couch won't allow you to experience that. She has created her own toxic cotton candy reality and refuses to see anything except her own truth

I used to be anorexic. My weight was so so low. No one understood EDs back then. Everyone thought I had cancer. I was so pale and weak and cold. When I looked in the mirror all I could see is that no part of me was small enough yet so I had to keep going. I literally could not see that I looked like walking death. There was a blindness to it. Eugenia literally can not SEE what causes us alarm.

Anyone who has to say “honestly” that much is not being honest. You can count on it.

I know some people may have trouble relating this to addiction, BUT I am a recovered addict (7 years 🎉). I have a medical condition, and doctors really screwed me up by prescribing me tons of opiates with no education on them.....anyways, I would gaslight and all sorts of Eugenia type things, she knows all of what's happening but she functions like an addict, addicted to not eating and addicted to social media. She even adds another layer to it when she basically spits in the faces of concerned ppl and makes those ppl out to be crazy, out of touch, and haters. I didn't do that, I knew it came from concern and that I was hurting ppl. Oh, and the mukbang comment makes me want to scream! Such a trolling thing for her to say.... This girl needs INTENSE mental therapy, INTENSE medical intervention, and her family fail her in that regard. And I know it's her choice blah blah blah but they don't try. Her mother has said on more than one occasion that Eugenia "is fine" and "a skinny mini" and "she tales very good care of herself" and much more....if it was your child and you were a concerned parent are those the things you would say? Eugenia is a type of addict and of course, she says she's happy right now. Everyone has left her to relish in her addiction. When the truth is that it's just her sick brain talking. She's not happy at all. Happy people don't starve themselves to a painful near death state. Period.

For her ED, it probably felt like the 7th layer of hell. She could no longer use her main coping mechanisms and was forced to face her issues head on. There was no escaping reality. She wasn’t in treatment long enough to see how much better life can be without her ED.

There is one thing you can’t argue about the Shane documentary or the therapist Katie videos she did.. she went to rehab for 30 days, she came out strikingly healthier (still needed lots of help but definitely on the mend) her voice wasn’t as high pitched and she was so much more articulate and everyone in her comment section was so kind and supportive.. so say whatever about the documentary the visible facts spoke volumes. She knows that the comments went from harsh to kind and back to harsh pre, post and years after rehab. So that shows she really doesn’t care about the comments. She goes on and on when someone says she gained weight as a troll but will breeze over the your going to die.. so we know where her priorities are.

Her message is saying it’s not worth it to recover. ED’s are very complicated. It was a horrible experience for her because she did not want to recover. If you’re forced into recovery you are really going to hate it. I mean it’s hard when you are trying to recover. She wasn’t. But the problem becomes that ED’s are deadly. So the hope is to feed the body and brain to get to a point of wanting to change and being happy again with a new life. But you can’t do that in a month or two at this state.

There’s so many semi-interesting questions in the chat, like, do you speak any other language? Do you have any Christmas traditions? It's very interesting whenever I hear EC say "I'm not trying/doing anything to make my face fuller..." as if she controls the weight of her face otherwise. I don't think someone without an ED would respond in that way. That response sounds like an admittance to the fact that she "controls" her appearance/weight in the first place.
