I've caught a few lives of hers recently and had to leave quickly. The word "painful" is accurate. Pop culture references fly right over her head. Other hosts on the stream having normal social banter and she sits there with her slackjawed jack o lantern smile plastered on her face, clearly about 5 miles behind them and desperately trying to catch up. And the attempts at humor? DEVASTATING. I cringe in embarrassment. And don't mention the shrieking laughter, please. She sounds like Mickey Mouse. This woman is doomed going to Jeffree's (if she truly is) as she's been so sheltered and so mentally ill for so long, I don't know how their interaction will be anything but painfully awkward as she tries to seem like a regular adult. What is his angle, anyway? These two have nothing in common other than social media presence and makeup. We all know very well that Jeffree is mean as sh*t and too clever and incisive for his own good. This seems suspect.

But she was very stunted, and expressed how she'd always had trouble making friends. This is likely because of her painful, excruciating shyness, and high level of codependency on her mother. Other girls grew up; Eugenia remained a perpetual seven year old. That kind of cloying, fawning behavior she shows Jeffrey is pretty off putting in person - unless you're an extremely needy narcissist, like Jeffrey is.

in my experience the person with the ED are very well versed in avoidance and manipulation themselves!...in a crowd of people at a social, they will share food from their plate, telling others to try it as it's SO Good!, the plate empties and they haven't eaten a scrap of it themselves...they know a lot of tricks and ways to get around that stuff, obviously the giveaway is how she looks but she doesn't get that due to the dysmorphia. Anyone with eyes can see she is nearing the end but it's becoming pointless in saying as much. so sad.

I have this theory. I think Eugenia was heavily controlled by her family and experienced a lot of trauma. At some point the trauma or the ed took over and she wrested control away from her family. Deb had control for a long time but has completely lost it now and clutches desperately at things like locked doors and driving to feel safe. Because Eugenia froze at such a young age (she’s been sick for so long) I don’t think she has the first clue who she is. None of us do. Her entire identity has been possessed by this ed. We aren’t seeing a person because she never developed into a person. We’re seeing an illness with the sufferer buried way deep down inside it. She’s in there. But we can’t see her. Just a theory.
