I also found a reference to Nightmare on Elm Street. In the upstairs area, when Quinn was slowly walking towards Sam, she scraped the knife along the mental pole, this was what Freddy did in the dreams to scare his victims

The first time I saw the scene where Quinn is being “killed” and everyone outside thinks she is just making sex noises it reminded me a lot to a similar scene in Urban Legend with Natalie’s roommate, Tosh. As always thank you for your awesome content!

In case no one has mentioned it, there's the one dude on the subway stairs wearing a Mojo Jojo costume, probably in reference to Roger Jackson, who voices both Mojo Jojo and Ghostface

Some things I want to add: Jason's attire of his grey shirt and green jacket might be a reference to Squid Game, but I might be looking too deep. Ethan's last name of Landry might be a reference to Craig and Elise Landry from The Tortured. It also makes sense, as Craig and Elise seek vengeance against the serial killer who murdered their son, just like the Kirsch Family seeking vengeance against the Core Four for murdering Richie.

10:35 also reminds me of the era of flowers crowns in tumblr when pretty much every fandom at that time did that trend and by no surprise you also could see flowers crowns in fictional killers ( like Hannibal 2013) to actually serial killers like Ted Bundy, Columbine shooters ect. 😅

4:15 I know what you did last summer was also written by Kevin Williamson who also wrote Scream 1, 2, and 4. 30:41 and don't forget even though this isn't a horror film reference but when the characters enter the subway a person walks by wearing a mojo jojo costume from the Powerpuff girls who was also voiced by Roger L. Jackson who voices Ghostface in the Scream franchise.

So the killer leaving behind Ghostface masks is a reference to Scream 3 where Roman leaves behind photos of Maureen/Rina. Also the killer leaving behind masks belonging to previous killers is a reference to Scream 2 where the first three victims were killed based on the having the same names as the original first three victims.

My favorite reference is to Scream 2. While Maureen is watching Stab, she yells at Casey to “hang the phone up and *69 his ass, damn!” Which someone finally does in this franchise with Gale putting Ghostface on hold and calling them back 😂

Again, excellent video, great job Zack! Tara and Ethan's exchange near the end might also be a reference to the original "Scream" as well as "Scream 3". The "I always wanted to stick something in you!" likely/possibly being a reference to "I always had a thing for ya, Sid!" The font used in Richie's film is the same font as the famous opening credits to Twin Peaks which, while a TV show, also spawned a 1992 horror film "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me", though it probably wouldn't be included in the grid as I think the font is only in the TV show, not the film itself. Nevertheless, the TP reference is mentioned in a few articles, including one by Buzzfeed.

Awesome video! Congrats on your effort, I was waiting for this one for a long time. And (not sure if someone else has mentioned this) I would like to add one more reference to Scream 2. it's when Sam speaks ill of Richie to detectives Bailey, his father. Sidney did the same thing being ironic about Billy to Mrs Loomis, his mother. I believe this counts as a reference, I'd like to hear your thoughts on that one, though, maybe it's just me.

This is a great video, good job. After rewatching DREAM WARRIORS I can’t help but think the title card line in Scream 6 “who gives a fxck about movies” is referencing Freddy when he says “who gives a fxck what you think” I’ve never been a BIG fan of the Freddy movies.

19:19 😂😂😂 I'm surprised you guessed them all right i only guessed 4/9 correctly which were Billy Loomis (obviously), Roman Bridger, Jill Roberts, and Mickey Altieri. I couldn't find out who was truly who at first in this scene but i I guessed those 4 right.

Amazing video. I’m kicking myself for missing so many of these. Another one: in the movie theatre climax, Tara shouts, “Come on motherf*cker!” in the same way that it’s shouted in Terrifier (2018). The name of the Terrifier character who shouted it? Tara. The name of the actress who plays her? Jenna. These guys are good.

I always thought the cut to black after Sam and Bailey run at each other was a reference to the Halloween remake. In the remake the cut was forced upon them cause one of the stunt people got hurt shooting the fall. So idk I feel like the cut is so abrupt in 6 that it had to be an homage to it. But that’s just me
