In order to enter the triwizard tournament you had to be 17, which makes you an adult, and thus responsible for yourself. To go to hogsmeade youre only 13 and underage yet.

Once you enter the Triwizard Tournament you can't on enter and the rules were you had to be 17 and Harry didn't ask to be in the Triwizard Tournament so we don't actually know how it works

Turtle have you even seen the movie, there is a part near the start were Dumbledore introduces Barty crouch senior. Barty says “for security reason no student under the age of 17 will be allowed to compete in this years Triwizard tournament”. Also near the start dumbledore says that THIS year hogwarts has been chosen to host the Triwizard tournament. That means that in Harry’s first year the triwizard tournament was held in one of the other schools.

Actually the reason it doesn’t happen in his first year is that it was put on hold long before the series takes place (it’s assumed by most fans that the last one was at least 50 and possibly even more than 100 years prior, but we never get a clear answer to back that up). And then after Cedric dies, they decide it was a bad idea and cancel the one that would’ve happened during Deathly Hallows, though I’m curious how that would’ve worked had they not cancelled it

Voldemort gave her a chance to step aside (because Snape asked him to not kill her), but she, of course, refused, so he killed her. Other mothers have stepped in to protect their children (we see this in the 7th book), but Voldemort had every intention of killing them, so it wasn't a true sacrifice. So the magic that saved Harry's life was unprecendented in Voldemort's case because he never before gave anyone the option to save themselves.

The cloak hides you from sight, but you're still there so the map has no reason not to detect you. As for Mad Eye's eye its probably cause the "magical cloak from death itself immune to any form of magic" wasnt a thing until very late in the books. Im sure JKR only invented the deathly hollows in book 6 to justify dumbledore putting on the ring, which explains why there is no mention to it prior to book seven. I mean if Lovegood was so far up the conspiracy he would have taught Luna and she would have spoken about it once she knew Harry's cloak existed, but she didnt

They both used the curse for almost the entire story to ensure that no one knew Jr. was actually alive and was trying to serve Voldemort again and that Sr. didn't confess his crimes and get his son exposed. Or maybe he meant Qurrel since the dude had Voldemort actively manipulating him to ensure that Qurrel didn't back out or kill himself.

That being the first (or second time, I forget) they probably didn't do it aswell or messed up steps, but Barty most likely got help from older wizards who have done it before so they perfected the potion they gave him

I think its explained in the books also that Crouch was stalking Moody for a while so he can memorize his personality, his actions, his routine, etc. so he could have also found a way to memorize his speech patters and vocals,.

In the books, the voices do change too. In the movies, they keep the original voices so the audience doesn't get confused on who's really who. Crouch's voice changed so as not to spoil the plot.

+jacob mayer I think it's just a retcon. Having Ron's and Harry's voices remain after their transformation was a stupid addition to the Chamber of Secrets movie (the books mention nothing of the sort). For all the faults this movie has, it was a good decision to ignore that bit of nonsense.

Of all the plot-related majorly important things changed by the movies from the books you choose to take issue with Dumbledore's reaction to this? How about the one where they take out the best scene in the books, the one where Harry taunts Voldemort before the final fight and reveals all the secrets he missed like Snape's betrayal and love for Lilly and his now supposed ownership of the elder wand. Are you awake? Harry DID NOT put his name into the goblet, someone else did. Even in magic, YOU cannot contractually bind ME to any damn thing.

Doesn't matter. In any real court such a contract would be dismissed out of hand. Since the "powers that be" -- the Ministry officials -- knew that Harry didn't put his name into the cup, the contract would be void. But, for no other reason that to tell her story, Rowling simply ignored this simple fact. So I reject the nonsensical premise out of hand.

My understanding is that the Goblet itself is the enforcer. Like in unbreakable vow, one who breaks his promise dies (due to the magic itself, not because the court enforces it). The contract is in the sense of magic. HP will probably face disastrous consequences (likely death) brought about by the power from the Goblet, had he quit.
