How do you calculate a movie's box office take with something like MoviePass?

When a MoviePass subscriber decided to watch a movie, they used the MoviePass card or app to purchase a ticket. MoviePass paid the full price of the ticket to the theater, even if it was more than what the subscriber paid in monthly fees. The money MoviePass paid to theaters for tickets counted towards a movie’s box office take. So if a MoviePass subscriber saw a film, the full price of that ticket was added to the movie’s total gross, just as if the subscriber had bought it out-of-pocket.

@@LetsTeach In the UK, our cinema chains have their own subscription plans. Odeon (part of the AMC Group) charges £15 per month for unlimited films in their cinemas. Cineworld charges between £10.99 and £21.90, the higher price tiers allow access to a greater number of cinema branches. That can work because for the cinema themselves, an otherwise empty seat wouldn't earn them any money anyway.
