Awesome update - the wife is making you put the chiller in the roof - annoying job but you'll be glad. These are sick - I have the smallest DC Tunze and love it. When I go bigger I'll think about these ;) I'm gonna say I wouldn't be running your skimmer at the moment - I run mine overnight but all that black stuff is die off from your liverock and bacteria. I'd test phosphate and maybe remove that (GFO) if it's too high and scale back the skimmer to 8 hours overnight. I love my GW and the oxygenation you get from running it 24/7 is awesome but I think you have enough (more than enough) with those new pumps but I like my bacteria more. I wonder what Yoshi is doing - you should interview him about his setup process - would LOVE to see that.

Gotra keep boss lady happy! But it also makes sense to keep it out of the way haha Yes these Tunze, even though larger than others, are just absolute beasts! Super happy with them and in a tank my size, the size of the wavemaker doesnt really matter. The skimmer is run bery very dry and since the tanks started i still havent emptied the cup. With the addition of liverock i didnt think itd be harmful to run it and with live stock going in within afew days will probs keep it running too! Will have to do a big round of water tests and go from there! Hope to catch up with Yoshi soon and see how his tank is going. I know hes done some ripper mods to the tank!

Scape looks beautiful ...but not fish friendly as it is please give them some hiding places with additional rock structures at least until your corals have grown out

It is just something people have discovered with the new trend for NSA or as I like to call them NHSA "No Hidding Space Aquascape" You tend to find it shows itself with ecesive fish aggression,jumping etc, Ryan of BRS in his 360 buuild is one example of someone who has observed it, and has ended up building some temporary rock cave systems to include until his SPS have grown into big colony's and thus provided more hidding places...I hate to downplay people's scape's yours is lovely but I do look out for the fishes mental welfare and try to help them where I can

You added internal bracing to your tank? I remember the video where you picked it up and you almost ruined it dropped it it was a rimless tank now it has internal bracing? Did you have issues thanks

Hey mate! It was originally braceless but after afew messages from some experienced reefers i decided to brace it. Not because of any issues or worries was just so i could crank more flow and not have salt spill 😂😂😂

I have a few questions on the Tunze, are the magnets dry in the Weir box or wet? Can you link two or three pumps to form a wave of only run with each separate controller?? I agree that you need far more hiding spaces for your fish, looking good.

The magnets are wet in the weir side. Pumps can be linked to communicate with each other but it does require the Tunze multicontroller! Hiding spots can be easily added as temporary additions until corals fill in and was always my intention 😊

Your skimmer is removing the very bacteria that you want to build in your tank at this stage. Why is that any good?

Skimmer was left off for the first two weeks of the cycle and as the live rock was added i switched the skimmer on and added the rollermats back in. Its set to a very dry skim so should be ok. Livestock is in within afew days so should be ok too! Thanks for the comment its much appreciated!
