Of course, I've had the F-Retro Gen3 on my radar for a while, as well as the skin pack for the 1983 F1 season. But I wanted to wait until the textures for the driver helmets, overalls and gloves were also available before I made a video about them.
And that is now the case: User FoolInjection has recently delivered exactly these in first-class quality, so that I can present you here and now a new recreation of a historic race in AMS2.
We're talking about the 1983 F1 season finale in Kyalami, South Africa. There, the championship leader Prost, then driving a Renault Turbo, blew his first world championship, allowing Piquet in a Brabham to take his second title after 1981.
I would like to try to change history here. In the Prost car with the number 15, I will compete in a 27-lap race on the historic Kyalami Circuit with accelerated settings to show my rear wing to the Brabhams, McLarens and Ferraris ...

Tolles Rennen und echt spannend :D! Ich mag diese alten Classic F1 Cars :D! Kein DRS, Kein ERS, einfach pures Fahrer-Talent. Ich glaube Funk hatten die auch noch keinen, da mußte der Fahrer die Übersicht haben. War eine tolle F1 Zeit.

Would be nice to have an adjustable turbo in the cars that had them. Hopefully that comes in a future update. I'd also like to see the fuel mapping get updated to actually impact fuel consumption and power rather than just simple lower the max throttle input you can use. I think also there needs to be bigger impact to performance for both the player and AI from qualifying setups to race pace setups as it's usually too easy to get close to qualifying pace in race trim IMO.

Big Fan of the channel Timo, the one thing AMS2 need to do is update the pits, tram liveries need to match the drivers and they need to populate the pits with more artifacts....don t know if this is on the roadmap but IMO this completes the game for me especially in VR

By default, Mansell has the Ford engine in this mod. His Renault is also part of the pack, but you gotta activate it in the XML-file.

@@frankdiehl8749 oh dear. Fanatec customer service seems to have nose dived. I'm sure Asetek will be cool. Many more options nowadays. Moza seem to get excellent reviews too.

Heute ausgiebig die 1990er-Mod für Classic Gen 3 mit Anzügen und upgedateten Helmen getestet. In wenigen Tagen erfolgt der Release, ein paar Kleinigkeiten müssen noch geändert werden. 1992 für HiTech-Gen1 auch schon so gut wie fertig. Da hast Du dann einiges zu tun. ;))

Great cars these. It's always a balance to run enough boost to drive past the Cosworths and not too much so the car goes boom. About 70-75 percent will work with the radiator open and shifting before redline, but you will still get around 50% damage on a full race. I've been asking for a long time to get the incar boost control, maybe it'll happen? Mansell, btw, is in a Cosworth powered Lotus, Elio has the Renault turbo.

Du kannst Im Crew Chief eine Taste/einen Button für die Benzinabfrage zuweisen. Wenn du im Spiel draufdrückst, sagt dir Jim, wieviel Sprit du pro Runde verbrauchst. Funktioniert im Training aber erst nach 1-2 gefahrenen Runden. Dann muss man nicht dauernd auf die Anzeige schielen.

Yes, indeed, just read about tobii again. Find it appealing but shy the technical effort and actually don't know if I could integrate it in my rig.

@@TimoDick Well yeah it might take a lot of effort, I recommend using any open source webcam app as a trail first before investing. Also if you don't mind me asking out of 10 how often do you feel the need of extra FOV while racing against others? (PS- Modern FOV calculator added a feature of Curved screens too now)

Lauda won the championship by half a point that year: Prost won the Monaco GP, a race that gave half of the points since it was suspended early due to rain. Senna was really fast with the Toleman, a slow car but since he was a beast in rain he would win by pace after the tempest started. Prost raised his hand each lap asking for an early end, and the final decision to do so was controversial and attributed by some to the strong political position Prost had. But the funny thing is that if the race had gone in its full length with Prost 2nd after Senna, he would had 6 points instead of 4.5, having one more than Lauda at the end of the season...

I last weekend started my F1 1983 season (full length grand prixs on 105 ai, I am streaming and uploading to KZfaq), please please Timo I really hope you can do the same as it is great watching your Championships :)
