Max will be in the 1:26s in Q3 and 1:33s - 1:34s in the race at the start. Unless anyone can get anywhere close to that, it is actually 'See you in 2026 hopefully'.

Regarding Audi buying Sauber I agree the phased takeover is odd but not sure how it could be done any other way as Audi don’t want it to be Audi Ferrari. Assuming Audi hold their nerve and complete the transaction we shouldn’t forget they will be bringing their own engine.

McLaren have managed to build a car that's worse than the one that they had at the end of last year. Piastri will try and get out of that team as quick as possible and his buyout is a hell of a lot lower than Lando's. Lando seems to be locked in unfortunately for him. I wouldn't be surprised if Redbull buys out Piastri's contract when they fire Checo.

When talking about RB (insert sponsor) here why does no one seem to talk about the elephant in the room that liberty are happy for Red Bull to have 2 teams, yet wont let Andretti join the grid. Surely limiting the grid to 10 teams, effectively 9 as one team can effectively have 4 cars is a conflict of interest and provides an unfair advantage to the two Red Bull franchises. Surely its an either or, let more teams (customer or not) join the grid or ensure that the teams have to fully develop their own cars and not the current oxymoron position. Or am I missing something?

Very surprised at the amount of Mercedes hopium and the McLaren denouncements in these takes. False pretenses as well, Zak was easily the most bullish McLaren team member after testing, saying theyre aiming to continue getting podiums this year, and here youre sitting saying hes angry because of the RB issues - which he started talking about the second half of last season? Might be true, but thats just false correlation. Also, Mercedes and Ferrari sorting out their issues shouldnt be a surprise to everyone. McLaren also has a new wind tunnel and simulator, it might take a while to have full confidence in that. McLaren have historically been very conservative in winter development, and much more aggressive during a season when they have consistent feedback from a car on track. They still might be P4 in Bahrain, but holy hell these were some incredibly negative takes.

I can't be the only person who doesn't want to see mercedes win another championship anytime soon? Same with red bull those two teams have been the only winners for the last 15 years Ferrari or McLaren for me but if mercedes won I'd find that just as boring as red bull

I love seeing Max winning unchallenged, love people leaving him through. Because Lewis got his status like that, Lewis is considered one of the greats and I like Max to be greater than him. If the results of Lewis then were impressive surely we’ll enjoy Max winning unchallenged. As long as the F1 world link unchallenged wins to skills I thoroughly hope Max will win unchallenged. Also after 2026.
