Adding on guilds normally follow the naming pattern of a mythical creature and a description word like fairy + tail

I think that if somebody wants something with nice story, they should definitely watch shorter anime like Higurashi no naku koro ni, Shiki, Tasogare otome x amnesia...

I don't think the story is weak. The lore and plot devices are pretty interesting. Every character that has any focus at all serves a purpose down the line. The weak points of the series are definitely the fighting and world building. People compare it to One Piece, but I don't really see the comparison outside of the superficial aspects that a lot of other shows do as well, even those pre-dating One Piece.

for such a long anime like fairy tail the story is pretty good and very engaging actually, the concept itself of what is going on is genius, its just the execution that isn't. (when i say execution i mean how the main cast solve the issue).

I know people like saying that but the main characters are natsu & Lucy, mashima has stated that plenty of times

@@RonnieManTV i will be interested in knowing when did he actually said that? but regardless from actual writing standpoint it's relative not accurate. The main characters is pretty relative to arc. natsu & Lucy are constraint main characters but they journey with another 2 to 4 other rotating Fairy Tail members who just as important in that arc, Erza, Gray, Mirajane, Juvia, Weny, Gajeel, kana etc. some arcs stories progression, backstory etc even evolves around them more than natsu & Lucy. So it sort of misleading to the importance of other characters though out, It simplify it easier just to say fairytale is the character then explaining all that. It's like telling someone Wolverine is the main character of Xmen, even with the most screen time that hugely misleading to the concept.

@@draetone5602 regardless of what people believe the reality is mostly every arc with the exception of edolas leads back to Zeref- who is zeref connected with? Oh that’s right Natsu Dragneel & the main antagonist is Agnologia who is also connected to Natsu.. the fairy tail as a guild are his closest allies who help Natsu on his journey similar to rave master with Haru.. originally it was just supposed to be Natsu as “main protagonist” but then Mashima added Lucy so we can see the story from her POV, that’s why she’s narrator .. the guild itself is very important there’s no doubt about it especially Erza & Gray but it’s Natsu’s story from Lucy’s POV.. there’s a reason why he fights every single boss of every arc lol.. originally he wanted a group of friends to follow Natsu around but he ended up making them into a guild Also X-Men is very different from fairy tail, I’m not even going to go into why it should be obvious

Yea T_T A surprising amount of reactors tend to confuse Zeref and Gray together and I guess we can't blame them because so much happens in the openings and they aren't familiar with each character.

Lucy is the main character & Natsu is also the main character too because of Mashima´s Naming afterword and GMG afterword he said Natsu is the MC but in later interivew he told people Lucy is the another MC. & in 2017 interview he said ( : Lucy is a core of FT. No matter, how surprising and irrational the others acted or how complicated the situation became, Lucy is always on the readers' side and says, she doesn't understand things they don't understand [...]. - There are many mangas, were protagonist has to carry out this duty. H: It would be impossible for Natsu . Natsu doesn't have monologues, so he couldn't do explanations to gain readers' empathy. ) But he also said ( Natsu's existance was great, wasn't it?
