Welcome back to part 4 of our fall 2021 knot along! This section will bring us up to the mid point of the pattern which is so exciting! Things are really starting to come together! If you guys are knotting along, how are you enjoying it?

yes, I have tried that. Its going to take awhile for the seed to crack open. Don't chance the water just make sure water is touching the seed and just wait for it.

the most important tip for the avocado pit is to make sure that it is oriented properly. the little nub or tip needs to be facing up toward the sky as that is where the tree sprout will emerge from! it can't hurt to try water with a better PH or chlorine content, etc. it also helps to change the water once a week or every two weeks. the first time I did it, it took like 2.5-three months to crack and sprout!

It seems the most common response is time based so I’ll leave it even longer this time. I gave up after seeing no action in three weeks last time!

we tried it many times but tbh for avocado plant to have any fruit growing you need to "breed" it. it takes a lot of time to grow, try to peel the brown shell it may help. i used just tap water nothing else.

I did peel the brown skin off of it but still nothing. I’ll just keep waiting until it turns to mush this time! Lol

I’d move to a tropical climate and never look back 😂 but I understand some people have never experienced snow etc. I assure you though, the novelty wears off rapidly. Lol

@@MegMakesCrafts the novelty of an endless summer wears off real quickly for some people too. lol. I had a colleague from USA work in southeast Asia for a while, and she explained how the lack of seasons makes everything feel endless (especially negative experiences); that it gave her a sense of hopelessness (as if things would never change). And it didn't help that temperatures often soared above 30 degrees celsius.

@@MegMakesCrafts I should also mention that living in a tropical climate increases your laundry load astronomically, because most clothing would only be able to be worn once before they need to be thrown in a laundry basket for washing because they will either have been exposed to excessive perspiration or drenched by rain. LOL

@@minute_craft1256 definitely a personal thing I think. For me I always have the heat cranked and use the air con sparingly. But I know some despise a hot summer and I’d rather bake in it. My aunt lived in Canada and moved to Texas and then Hawaii and never wanted to move back to 4 seasons again 😂 🤷🏻‍♀️

I done the avocado tree and some pits just don't work maybe try another kind of avocado. But it really took a long long time until I saw anything

This is my second time round so I’m really just going to wait for eternity and hope it does something 😂 maybe I wasn’t patient enough last time?

Oh, you shmol bean! 🤗 Haha! The very top of my head is level with his shoulder and I’m 5’10.5” so if I had to hazard a guess you would be taller than his waist but maybe only reach the bottom of his ribcage 😅
