It’s Cornish Car Collectors’ two year KZfaq anniversary - time has flown by and in this video I take a look back at the last 12 months, how the Channel has performed and a quick review of the current car collection, including how much each car has cost to maintain.

Please try and keep the rovers as much as its always a pain deciding what to move on but there are so few youtubers out there with the modern ones so its always fun to see them even though people like me will never be able to own some of them

Thanks for the comment. I promise there will always be MGs and Rovers in my collection, I love the brand and all of there cars. To be honest, it is going to be difficult to sell any of my current collection so we'll see if any actually do leave! Been watching since the MG ZS video. Sad to have seen it go. Really liked the ZTv8 300 videos. Would love to see more of that MGF Trophy 160. Might be a good idea to do a video on POL this year if you're going in your rover. I plan on going in my MG Montego Turbo if I've rebuilt the engine by then. Keep up the good work 😁

What a fantastic collection!!! I was quite surprised to hear that the S-type R has left the collection. I really enjoyed the Kernow 300 videos and feel like attempting it myself even though I’m right up in Yorkshire, perhaps I could come up with the Yorkshire 300!!! I love the driving videos best whether it’s a road trip, a new car collection video or car review so hope to see more of those on the channel. I love your presentation style, so friendly and welcoming. Keep up the good work and also looking forward to seeing more of the sapphire cosworth!!!

The Jaguar S-Type R was a tough one to let go, but I simply was not using it (I’d always choose the MG ZT V8 to drive), plus I needed to raise some funds to help with the Cosworth… I do miss the Jaguar though. Thanks for watching the Kernow300, I thoroughly enjoyed driving it and would encourage anyone to have a go! Thanks for the support. 👍🏻

I love your work and this channel is superb. Right up my street. As a 41 year old, I LOVE cars from the late 80's to about 2012ish, when cars got boring, perfect, ugly and with 0 personality. You present very clearly and honestly, keep up this work please. Whenever icon cars from the 80's, 90's & 00's are concerned, I will be right there!

Enjoyed the update very much. I'm a recent subscriber and somewhat of a ford nut. Fast mk2 escorts was my thing and 2.0 ltr cortinas. Blimey it doesn't feel 5mins since all those years ago. Keep up the great content 👏 👌

Great update video... you've got a great collection... had an identical Sportka SE brand new back in 2004. Shame they've mostly all rusted away..

Thanks for the comment John, I am glad you like the cars. The cars do not do enough miles to be serviced each year; however, I do try to use each of them every 2yrs. Having said that, all are started, run up to temperature and moved every two months. I really like rediscovering them after any period where they have been rested up. Thanks for watching.

Love the channel, love the collection. The cars you have are the ones we all remember on every street corner over the last 30 years, and now rarely see them! I have 6 cars in total.... glad i dont have a barn or i'd be in trouble 😁

Thanks for the comment Ricky and kind words about the Channel and cars. As you say, these all used to be commonplace and we took them for granted. I am just glad I am able to share them via KZfaq with other people who find them interesting. Six cars is a decent collection and with space comes more cars... it is a disease! 🤣 Thanks for watching.

Loving the collection, all nice examples of rare low mileage cars. Keeping them all in good driveable condition looks like a lot of work, for me that made me shrink my own collection from 14 to 7 last year, giving me the ability to drive and enjoy the ones I've kept even more. If you're looking for an excuse to take out the ZT260 this year, why not come to Silverstone in June for MGLive!

As you say, it is difficult to stay on top of and drive them all, and I too should really downsize (very sensible) but as you'll know given you have halved your collection, it is tough to decide which are to be sold! Great stuff. Always good to see collections of more ‘normal’ cars. My parents had fords when I was growing up. (Sierras , cortina’s , then a Probe V6! I was a vw guy for years , but inherited an MGTF a few years back. It had been sat for a few years so was a right mouldy mess with rotten cats and exhausts. But since i put it back on the road about 4 years ago it’s been the most reliable car I’ve had! 😅 gets used most days. Mostly in winter! So I now seem to have aquired an interest in rovers. The 800’s are too cool.

I did look at one around 18mths ago, but it was in a poor state. If one ever pops up that interests me then you can be certain I will have a go a buying it. I have considered selling it in the past due to it just not being practical for the boys and I, but everytime I uncover it... well, it just looks glorious and there it stays. I may get it out this year and run it for a couple of the summer months... if I do, then it will certainly feature again on the Channel. Thanks for watching.

I'd like an RS Turbo and if the opportunity presents then I'll probably go for it, albeit a Capri or Focus RS Mk2 might be slightly ahead of an RST in the queue for next car! What a fantastic collection. Regarding feedback on what to feature on your channel, do what you want to do. The XR4x4 is awesome, I went in one as a kid when my dad had it for a courtesy car, I loved the power and grip. There’s a Granada Ghia 4x4 going up for auction on car and classic!

I really do like the final facelift XR4x4. If the Granada goes to Ireland there is currently a 92 facelift Granada Scorpio 24v on eBay’s that’s sub 60k and in white also to match the XR. I think your collection would benefit a Fiesta RS1800 but a 92 spec with the Recaro seats and Diamond cut wheels. It would fit nicely with the other cars from the period you have. With your Mk5 3i cabriolet I believe the front grille is wrong as it’s should have the single bar one like the RS2000 of the same vintage and not the one that’s on now that’s from the basic cabriolet / 1.6 CVH EFI

Thanks for the comment Chris. I have spotted that Granada Scorpio on eBay - looks fantastic! As for a Mk3 Fiesta, they are lovely cars and I am hoping to get involved in the restoration of an RS Turbo at some point... need to see if it all works out. The front grille on the Mk5 is the original one when the car was new. Mine is a 105bhp and whilst it should have a single bar grille, toward the end of production it seems Ford kept these for the 130bhps and popped the vented grille on the 105s (I assume they were running short?). I do have the single bar grille stored in the garage as I have always intended to swap it, but as the grille on the car is original to my car, well I have never gotten around to it. Hi mate. Watching your video you may just be the guy I need to talk to. I currently own a Focus ST225 like you but I’ve got a hankering for an MG ZS180. I can’t own both so either have to pass on the ZS or sell the ST. Out of the two which one would you recommend? I don’t want to make a mistake and sell the ST with it being a standard example.

Thanks for the comment Danny, I take it you are a big Ford fan? So am I, but as you'll know I also have a soft-spot for a few MG Rovers. The Granada would be staying if I hadn't received interest from someone who I think will really do right by it. As for the Rovers, I think a couple may leave my collection this year, but the 800 Vitesse, MGF and MG ZT V8 (which does have a Ford engine) are all staying! Thanks for watching. 👍
